I can't possibly be the only one here who is crazily in love with Pixar and Dreamworks animated movies. My wife and I absolutely love them, and our favorite movie so far has been Wall-E.

Does anyone here love this kind of movies?

I am a huge Pixar fan! The Incredibles, Monsters inc, and Finding Nemo are my favorites.

I liked Pixar movies but I keep up to date my old anti-establishment self that makes me go against power-hungry companies like Disney, buying Pixar and Dreamworks.

So no matter how good movies coming from these companies are, I refrain to "consume" them, same as I do when power-hungry companies buy food brands and I systematically stop using whatever they produce.

My children didn't give me a choice. Even worse than Disney and them, my daughter became obsessed with the Ronald Mcdonald videos they were making for a while, about 16 or 17 years ago. And, of course, Barney. I love my daughter more than life itself. But she didn't make the early years too easy.

Oh gosh...dreamworks movies are astounding. My favorite is the Prince of Egypt...the animation for a 90's film is stunningly beautiful and the music was crafted so wonderfully. For the longest time it's inspired me myself, even though I'm really not that religious. Sometimes I sing the songs to myself when I'm doing things because the music is hard to forget! It's that good and if you haven't seen it yet I definitely recommend it.

I don't know if it is a Pixar movie but PIXELS, the movie that we saw last night had lots of animation. The story is about an alien race that had challenged earth in old video games but not in the console or computer but in real life. The Pacman game of the aliens is a huge Pacman character that eats anything in its wayh, cars, houses and even people. And if the aliens would win the competition consisting of 3 video games of the olden times, they will conquer the earth.

Truly, the visual effects now are of high quality that you will not easily notice if the animation is digital or not. The story is for children although there's a touch of adult humor so it is also enjoyable for adults like me. And since it is a feel good movie, we had a nice night.

What's not to love about the movies these studios put out? They are creative in their animation and usually tell good entertaining stories. I have liked if not loved many of the Pixar movies such as the Toy Story films and Monsters Inc. As for Dreamworks, well they have Shrek need I say more. So, both these studios have put out some wonderful animated movies.

I agree! Their way of creating movies is certainly magical. I can't explain how otherwise they are able to create stories which appeal to both young and old persons at the same time.

They've definitely managed to perfect it. Some adult jokes are better hidden than others, but its never anything kids would catch on to. Well, unless its like Donkey saying "Damn..." in the movie "Shrek."
