Thanks Patsy! It was my first time making that kind of blanket and I had kept putting it of because I thought the furry material would be harder to sew...but it wasn't really so now I am thinking I would like to make more of these kinds of blankets. How's things going in th e UK...any changes yet?
I would have thought so too, do you have good hands Babs, with arthritis it would be a struggle Pleased you enjoyed making them, must be wonderful to see the finished article
I do have some arthritis but it has not bothered my hands too much at this point. It is my back, neck. and hips....and recently both my elbows that give me problems. I enjoy sewing but only what I call straight things like curtains. blankets. pillows, etc. I made my girls sun dresses when they were little and that was okay too.
Mornin'. It's a cloudy 18 degree day with enough wind to make it feel like 1 above, here in the land of corn and bacon. The weather guessers say we will get into, maybe the mid 20's later. Good. Let 'er freeze and blow. I'll just stay indoors, close to the fire. Our next snowfall is scheduled for Sunday. Don't know how much or anything. I always pray for the PHD snow. Piled High and Deep. Somehow, I gotta try to make my peace with two family members. One of my grandsons and I severed communications over politics a few months back. We're both pretty passionate about our political parties and beliefs. He lives in another city. The other one is my brother. We split when mom died. He invited me to his place and I turned him down. I tried to explain it was because of a medical problem I was going through at the time that kept me at home. By the time I got over that, he'd broke any ties. Now, I don't leave my building for other health reasons , but he's welcome here anytime. I don't want to die without at least trying to mend things. However, if either of them think I'm gonna kiss their butts over this, they're crazy. Anyway, I gotta go run my trap line and see if any of my liberal traps got sprung. Lately, libs are like feral cats. They'll snarl at you, but when you try to corner one, they scurry off. Before the election, libs were like wolverines. They'd charge into you, all claws and teeth. Have a great Thursday y'all.
Politics, ah yes, a passionate subject. I've heard of at least one divorce over it Good to be passionate about the subject though, shows you care enough Hope all will come together for you, do you send cards at Christmas ? Xx
Morning All Yesterday, wife and I went to Opry Mills Mall on our annual Christmas visit to see whats new. Wednesday afternoon, the mall isn't too crowded and we enjoyed walking around. Fun to watch families with small ones telling Mom and Dad what they want 'Santa' to bring them. As usual, didn't buy alot. Came home with some interesting coffee pods and of course, Cinnabon's. Enjoy the Day...
Good morning or rather evening from here, it's been a damp and dreary one but I did manage a walk to the corner shop to stock up before the next snow comes. I took this photo on the way back....
@Ike Willis I'll be praying you are shown the way to mend those fences with your loved ones. Especially because your heart is desiring to do this and because family is family in spite of our differences our ups and downs.
