A warm Xmas here. 'sposed to be raining and near 70 tomorrow. Got some more leaves up before it started raining yesterday.
I ordered a Donald Trump inauguration mug. I'll drink a toast to our president January 20th.

Wishing everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

I finally got home at midnight, @Patsy Faye after flight delays caused by early morning fog in Amsterdam, where my connecting flight was.

No sign of Barbara at home we escape most storms in the midlands though.

Because of the 3 hour time difference I didn't get to sleep until 4 am Russian time and woke at 7 am here, so after only 3 hours sleep I am a bit out of it today
I am going to a local Christingle service with the family at 5pm so will try a nap this afternoon...

A Christingle is a symbolic object used in the Advent services of many Christian denominations.
Christingle means 'Christ Light' and is used to celebrate Jesus Christ as the "Light of the World".
Used primarily for Advent and Christmas, it is also used for Epiphany.
The history of the Christingle can be traced back to John de Watteville, who started the tradition in Germany in 1747. At that time it was just a ribbon wrapped around a candle.
The authentic origins of the Christingle can be found on the website of the Moravian Church in the British Province.
It was popularized in the United Kingdom by John Pensom in 1968. He was raising funds for the charity The Children's Society. In the 2000s over 5,000 Christingle services were being held in the UK every year.

    A Christingle usually consists of:
    • An orange, representing the world
    • A candle pushed into the centre of the orange, then lit, representing Jesus Christ as Light of the World
    • A red ribbon wrapped around the orange or a paper frill around the candle, representing the blood of Christ
    • Dried fruits and/or sweets skewered on cocktail sticks pushed into the orange, representing the fruits of the earth and the four seasons

It is delicious @Ike Willis. My daughter bought it for Thanksgiving one time, and I am hooked on it every since. But it is pretty expensive just we just get it on special occasions. :) Will some of your Family be bringing you Christmas food this weekend Ike? I know you have said you don't like to go to their homes because of your health problems but I hope they stock you up with Christmas platters!:)
