I eat only fresh foods and I use a lot of sea salt. Doctors will tell you that salt will increase your blood pressure but mine is average 112/66 so the salt thing does not work.
The battery is fitted so all is good now, I used a local company in the end who quoted me £50 including fitting, Halfords a large chain couldn't do it until next week and KwikFit another national chain quoted £104, so no competition really... Why is life difficult where you are @Patsy Faye ?
Here are a few photos I took earlier in my temporary home here in Bracknell, it's a two cat family and both are very affectionate and spend most of the day sleeping on or in a bed attached to a heating radiator Miroslav (Miro for short) the youngest of the three children is an an angel really no trouble at all, unlike a lot of 2 year olds (terrible two's) Lisa the other angel relaxing..
@Terry Page - fab pictures Terry, the two girls are smashing, tell them won't you The cats are too, love the picture of the kitty on the radiator - was it 'on' ? Well Terry, if you would like to know the problems we face here, I could pm you ..................
Its not 'just' salt Martin, stress is a big factor too Cutting down on salt, should be enough as we do need a certain amount
Yes the radiators were full on they just to love the heat lol .....Miro is a boy but he does look like a girl with his curly locks, one of my grandchildren looked the same at that age but now as a teenager he looks all male PM me by all means..
@Terry Page - ha ha - not many boys are called 'angels' Terry, great head of hair too Thanks, will pm you tomorrow and will keep it as brief as I can, believe me, I could fill a book But, I won't, I'll just give you a taste of what we've been through, may do me some good to talk about it
Well good day to each of you. I'm over my Ba Humbug issue for the season. I'm hoping that it grows less with time, and I saw no reason to dump it on the very people I look to for my cheer. I'm over the stomach virus I always seem to pick up around the holidays, but how do you tell others not to pass on a possible bug at holiday time. Especially the wee ones, they give the best kind of hugs and kisses. I generally don't make new year resolutions, but this year I am going to try to look for the happier times I see, whether they are mine or someone's else.
I try to do the same thing as you do , @Martin Alonzo . I mainly shop the outside isles of the grocery store and buy fresh food, and frozen food when fresh is not doable. We use the Himalayan pink sea salt, and add what we want to our food when we eat it, and I usually add some when I am cooking it, too. My blood pressure usually runs about 110/70; so it is fine also. There are SO many more of the trace minerals in the Himalayan sea salt that it is worth the extra cost of buying it, and I can now get it from Amazon, so I do not have to go to the health store for my sea salt anymore.
How beautiful @Ina I. Wonder and such words of wisdom too. I am glad you are feeling better and choosing to grace us with your presence once again...as we have missed you.
Good morning to you all it's 8am and I am just getting ready for the school run, it's -4c and very frosty out but a sunny day is forecast. Lisa and I are going out with Miro shopping this morning, including "Dunelm Mill" a bedding/housewares shop which Lisa loves to browse in.... Have a great Thursday..
For a few months now I have been experiencing strange "goings on" within my body and since these things were different from my normal inner goings on I knew that something is happening healthwise and I needed to go see my Doctor. Yesterday I went to see her and told her what has been happening and she took bloodwork, etc. and will test for everything related to these symtoms. The year before last I got the pneumonia vaccine and 3 days later came down with a full blown case of pneumonia that took two rounds of a very strong antibiotic to start the healing process. This antibiotic was one I have never taken before and a few weeks after I finished both rounds I started experiencing heart palpitations. This is something I have never had any problem with either so I checked the side effects of the antibiotic and heart palpitations was one of them. I saw my Doctor at that time and since the info on side effects said that this usually went away on its own... her plan was to monitor this and see if they did go away. She also drew blood to check for other possible causes and hooked me up to a heart monitor for a short time to record differences in my heart rhythm. The blood work showed nothing abnormal and my heart rhythm was normal for the most part too. And after a few months the heart palpitations went away. One of the strange "goings on" in my body right now is what I call a racing heart. It almost feels like my heart is one of those horses behind the start gate at the Kentucky Derby, all of a sudden the start "gun" goes off and my heart takes off just like those horses do. Yesterday my Doctor listened to my heart and it skipped a beat or two during that short time. With this and a few other symtoms I am having that could point to a heart problem...she is referring me to a Heart Specialist. I sure did not want to hear that my heart needs to be evaluated by a Specialist but since I spent time researching the possibilities of what those strange "goings on" could be related to...I knew this could be a possibility. I'm feeling some anxiety and fear right now as I ponder the best and worst case scenerios. And if you have a moment to lift me up in prayer or in positive thoughts I sure would appreciate this. Even though as a believer God's Word tells me "not to fear"...in my humaness I do struggle with fear at times and this morning I found the Scripture verse and explanation below...which assured me our heavenly Father is aware of my struggle and reminding me to trust Him. Hope your day is filled with good things.
Good morning @Ina I. Wonder I like your picture very much and the words mean a lot to me too Wishing you a lovely year ahead, full of beautiful things to make your heart soar with happiness
