This morning Katie Couric interviewed Fisher Stevens who is directing a new HBO Documentary about Carrie Fisher and her mother, Debbie. The Documentary is called Bright Lights. We don't get HBO, but hopefully the documentary will come out so all the public can see it. Debbie and Carrie, you will definitely be missed!!
I saw Carrie Fisher in her one man show "Wishful Drinking" and thought it was excellent!!! Her sense of humor and delivery were delightful . She hadtrue talent and a very sharp wit." Bright Lights" was a nostalgic trip down memory lane because I grew up watching Debbie Reynolds. I remember seeing the" Unsinkable Molly Brown" in the theater with my parents.. way back in the dark ages. One of my favorite movies was "Mother" with Albert Brooks. At the time she reminded me of my mother, talking to everyone in the grocery stores and trying to work skype but NOW I think I have taken on that role with my adult children!
Carrie will be in this coming Dec 2017 Star Wars movie, reprising her role as General Leia Organa. Production of the movie wrapped up last July 2016. Due to the Star Wars movie, Rogue One, being release in theaters last month, it was decided not to release this one, with Carrie in it, until Dec.. This movie will be a continuation of The Force Awakens that was released in theaters in Dec. 2015.
