I came across a free channel on Roku called Westerns on the Web. While there are several free channels showing old movies on Roku, this one introduces the movie before showing it, giving information about its production, where it was filmed, and trivia about the actors, etc. I like it.

If you like Westerns, there are a lot of them. They don't do the intros to every movie apparently, but maybe only their featured ones. Still, it's well worth the money, since it's a free channel.

Later... It's not just the featured ones that have introductions, but they don't all have them.

We got the movie, The Magnificent Seven starring Denzel Washington for Christmas.

Show me a Western and you'll see one very happy dude!

I was excited to see the Magnificent Seven remake and I enjoyed it. I think I have worked my way through most of the Westerns on Amazon Prime and Netflix...:(.... One of the few nice things with age is I can really enjoy some of my favorites I haven't seen in awhile because while I remember the plot I've forgotten some of the meat of the story.
Over the holidays I binged on some Louis Lamour's movies and of course Robert Duvall's.
I got half way through Jeff Bridges "Hell or High Water" and my youngest son and new baby showed up as a surprise so it expired on me.. I'll have to wait for DirecTV to catch the end. .

We watch Encore westerns almost daily. Lots of old western tv shows and movies too.

We were watching Jeff Bridges in True Grit over the weekend. Kind of weird seeing Matt Damon as a cowboy.
Still like the old True Grit w/John Wayne, but, as I watched more of the movie, grew to like this one as well.
Wasn't able to watch the entire movie, will see it again later. It was on tv.
