A very good morning to you all on this glorious Sunday morning here, woke at 5:30am to the call for prayer and at 8:30 watched a very colourful procession past our homestay front door. It's evidently a very important weekend for the local Catholic church here devoted to Saint Sebastian their patron saint. I took a video of it and am uploading to Youtube right now, there will be music all day which I can hear in the background and another procession this evening at 7:30 pm. It's 11:30 am here now and Lisa is swimming and in her bliss, I am on the rooftop of the homestay under a canopy and a fan in my bliss typing on my laptop, a clear blue sky 32c (90f) and a gentle breeze with heavenly music in the background.................maybe I have already passed away......feels like I imagine heaven to be..... The parade: The beach earlier dogs feeding on fish scraps... Herons fishing.. Tiny white crabs pop up from sand holes early in the morning, but hard to take photos because as soon as you approach they vanish into their holes, here is a telephoto shot... Lisa enjoying the sea
Like the pictures and love crabs ! Not to eat mind you Good morning Terry, good to hear Heaven surrounds you, I've experienced that feeling too and at times I'm transported back to it - memories @Terry Page
Mornin'. I missed these daily visits while my computer was down. My daughter "fixed" it. Believe it or not, it was one of those "plug it in, dummy" kind of things. Makes me feel like every day in every way, I'm getting older. Anyway, it's 28 degrees here in the little city on the east coast of Iowa. Windy and overcast too. Woke up last night at the witching hour and heard the wind howling out a spell. Hey, did I ever tell you about the time I actually saw a witch put a spell on someone, and it worked? True story. I was working the midnight shift. Was hitting the coffee hard that night, when May Vanda E. floated over to my desk. She always seemed to move without touching the ground, or to float. We talked awhile, then May saw Ron coming up the aisle pushing a pallet mover, heading for the warehouse entrance near by. "Did you know, Ike, that I'm a witch and have special powers"? "I've heard something like that." "Do you believe it"? "No." "Watch and learn. I'm gonna make Ron run into something with that pallet truck". As Ron passed by my desk, he noticed May staring intently at him. Ron stared back. May stared harder, never blinking. Ron returned her stare, all the while pushing that pallet mover toward the warehouse doorway. WHAM! And right into the wall beside the door. Ron was kind of slow on the draw. A decent enough guy, but with some strange ways. One of which was to look at someone as long as they were looking at him. But, he'd try to keep doing whatever he was doing while engaged in these little staring contests. So, May and I had a good laugh at poor Ron's expense, and I became convinced, she really was a kind of witch. May is still around, but Ron was living at the homeless shelter near my building until he died.
For those who may have missed it here s the real Sheldon (Shell) Scott. In my mind I'm much like him http://www.thrillingdetective.com/scott.html
Enjoyed the read - although I've never heard of him, quite a character and looks to match ! One of the reviews - I liked this line "He looked like a man with ten ingrown toenails," ..................... In case you wondered why I called you King Sheldon The Queen has two birthdays @Sheldon Scott
Hi there Ike - you've known some characters in yer time May witch, not sure I'd like to meet her, I have enough problems, although .................... maybe she could cast a spell or two for me @Ike Willis
Good morning! I'm in a chipper mood even though I have a drs appt at 8:00 a.m. But it's just a routine one. We do have a dense fog advisory this morning though. Just learned the other day my middle sister in Colorado will be a grandma for the first time in August. My niece who is 29 and a third grade teacher is pregnant! I'm hoping for a girl, just so I can buy something girly. I'm already singing...Monday, Monday ...haha!
