I felt fine all last week @Chrissy Cross and then Saturday I started feeling yucky and it just got worse as the day went on...and continued into Sunday. Today I feel totally drained but I haven't been running fever so I think it is more allergy and weather changes that has grabbed a hold of my body and making every part of it feel achy and out of sorts. I have a dental appointment tomorrow that I really don't want to miss so I'm praying I will feel better tomorrow. If not, I will take tylenol and my allergy medicine and try to get through that dental appointment anyway...unless I start running fever. Hope the Doctor will be able to help you feel better Chrissy and that nothing is seriously wrong.

@Babs Hunt - your picture brought back memories of the water fountains we had in parks

@Patsy Faye, I can't imagine having vertigo all your life. :( I've only been dealing with it three or four years. I have to be careful when bending over, so I try not to bend over unless there is no other option. And, if I'm going into another room I tended to end up about two feet to the left of the doorway, but I learned that if I aim myself at two feet to the right of the doorway, I'll end up at the doorway. :D

What are some of the ways you have learned to deal with your vertigo? o_O

Its funny Ina - although it is due to the birth defect, it didn't cause me problems till my early 40s when
menopause started. I didn't know what hit me, the room spinning so fast, I was totally lost and incapable of
    doing anything, very frightening.
The medication helps as I take the nausea tablet at very first sign, the other tablet I take twice everyday
But, if I sew, it can bring it on, also bending, like you, dancing - well not possible :( I have to sleep on 'one'
side and stay there  Like you, I veer when I walk :p
It is the most horrendous condition and if I can avoid, I will. Some TV images I can't look at either ............

No, it's not just my allergies, the achy part is probably my arthritis acting up because of weather changes too. When they all get together and have a "party" without my permission...it really is not a party to me...but more like a very bad hangover! :) Since I haven't done "hangovers" for years and years, I really don't like my "old" body parts reminding me what those days felt like. ;)

Yeah, I remember those too Patsy. We could still have fountains if people just learned to respect things like they used too.

A very belated good morning or good evening as it is here, I have had a long day working on the floor in the dining area and the kitchen, so have literally been on my knees most of the day, I guess I may suffer a few aches tomorrow [IMG]

I am pleased with the progress though so well on track for completing it this week.

Here are a few pics of the current state of chaos, the first one is a mock up of how the fireplace will look, there is still a bit of painting to do and of course a new carpet to go down eventually.

Hope your day is going or has gone well!!!

@Patsy Faye my vertigo is nowhere near as bad as your's. I don't have to take any medication for mine. When mine gets to the point of the world spinning, I just sit down. The TV does set my vertigo off, and I have to look away before the nausea gets out of hand. It is hard to explain to others.

My grandson is just now starting to see that vertigo is not funny. Bobert went swimming at one of my friends home recently, and he got water deep into his ears. This made him have some trouble with his balance. Now he sort of understands how vertigo effects me, so he has quit laughing at me when I miss the door. :D

@Babs Hunt I hope your dental appointment is just for a regular check up. Do you have a dental infection? It could be part of your "hangover" feeling. I hope whatever it is causing you to feel badly is gone soon. If you do have an infection, your dentist might send you home until you are well. Good luck! :)

It was the last room in the house @Ina I. Wonder so I just felt it needed doing, it was still the original decoration from 2003 when I bought the property with my daughter Caroline. It's a two storey three bedroomed semi-detached house. When I am in Russia I live with Lisa in her apartment, maybe that's what you were thinking of?

@Ina I. Wonder It's just a regular checkup with my new Medicare Dentist for a cleaning and x-rays. :)

I just don't want to have to miss that appointment because I feel crappy. I have days like this when pressure systems with the weather throw these old bones out of sync. And with everything blooming right now my allergies are flaring too. I'm almost positive that is what is going on right now....but even knowing this doesn't make the yucky feelings go away. And I'm trying not to take my allergy meds right now because they can cause irregular heart beats. Tomorrow I will take one though because I will be out in all that blooming stuff.

@Terry Page , looking good!! You are lucky you live nowhere near me. I would be constantly in your ear to explain how to do such things. My son Michael was the one that always could figure out how to fix or upgrade things here. A log cabin can be difficult to work on.

When we first bought this place 30 years ago, it only had four electrical outlets. One each in the kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom, leaving the other two bedrooms, utility room, and dining room without electricity. :(

Since our walls are solid wood, the outlets had to come up through the floors. Our son ran all the wires through PVC pipes under the house. This old cabin was added onto as time went on, and families grew, so the attics are separated and they don't allow access to each other.

I'm looking forward to seeing your end results. I'm hoping you are using a back brace, as those appliances are heavy.

@Babs Hunt, I get what I call barometric headaches. The changing of weather conditions feels like a band around my head that is squeezing. I can tell my family of weather changes before the meteorologist on TV pick up on them.

This winter has been pretty much nonexistent for those like you and I that live on the Gulf of Mexico. The humidity has been so wacky this season. I too have been fighting the sniffles off and on this year, but so far I haven't picked up a cold. Crossing my fingers now.

I hope you are feeling better soon, we need your opinionated mind around here. You give all of us something to think about. :p :D
