Good morning to you all, I didn't sleep so well last night so still waking up slowly, this afternoon I am going with Cathy to choose the carpet for the living room which will be hopefully finished early next week.

    Have a great Thursday!!!

Lol @Patsy Faye Blackpool is just not the same ;) though I have spent a lot of time there in the past renovating houses. I have visited most of the Asian countries and don't mind the humidity, it's actually pretty bad in the UK sometimes.......

Using the NHS the charges are in 3 bands see below, private dentistry work is a lot more expensive, though a lot of private dentists do NHS work as well.

How does this compare to your system @Babs Hunt

    NHS dental charges
There are three NHS charge bands:

    • Band 1: £19.70 ( $16 ) covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish and planning for further treatment.
    • Band 2: £53.90 ($44 ) covers all treatment covered by Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
    • Band 3: £233.70 ($ 192) covers all treatment covered by Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.
For more information, see What is included in each NHS dental band charge?

What if I need more treatment?
If, within two months of completing a course of treatment, you need more treatment from the same charge band or a lower one – such as another filling – you don't have to pay anything extra.

Yes @Patsy Faye I am away from the UK until August from the 21st of this month, so lots of time to rest, I suspect this is the last major project I will ever do before I am laid to rest permanently ;) , but you can never say never I guess :)

Good morning all I had a reasonable nights sleep after a weird day yesterday, I felt very weak when I got up with low BP readings, so gave into it and did nothing but mainly rest on the bed, I get these days every now and then and have learnt not to fight them and push myself.
I did manage to meet up with my daughter Catherine and we chose some carpet for the living room, which is being fitted next Thursday all being well.. the weather yesterday was gorgeous with blue skies and 15c (60f)

I will carry on laying the floor in the dining room today, and I have a 1pm dentist's appointment to start the procedure of fitting a crown...

It's my youngest grandson James 8th birthday this Sunday, and he is very into gardening and growing things at the moment, so I need to buy something along those lines for a present.

Have a great Friday.....this week seems to have flown by......

Good Morning Friends. It isn't very hard to see that my mind is on the beach lately. :)

It would be wonderful to spend at least week at the beach with our children, their spouses, and all our grandchildren! I think we all need that "change of scene" right now. So when my daughter comes in from Texas next week and we're all together, I'm going to talk to them and see if we can't come up with a time in the next few months that we could have that week at the beach together. :)

I definitely must have had some kind of virus or maybe even a mild case of the flu...but I am on the mend now and feeling so much better. Yesterday I was able to get out and about with no problem and I even managed to cook my "famous" navy beans and ham with cole slaw for us and my middle daughter and her family. My youngest daughter in Texas freezes her ham bones and almost every time I would go to visit and help with the grandkids she would ask me to make this. So yesterday I sent her pictures of what I cooked and I asked her if she wanted me to send her some. Right away she said: "Yes, Please!" My middle daughter and her kids are going to Texas this afternoon to spend the weekend with my youngest daughter...so she will bring her sister some navy beans and ham, etc. to my daughter today. It's always even better the 2nd day because the spices and flavors have a chance to mingle completely! :)

I hope everyone who has been sick is feeling better today and I hope all of you have a beautiful day.:)

I'm laughing so hard right now tears are running down my face. My middle daughter who I shared the "supper" I cooked with last night just called me and told me: "Moma your navy beans and ham was so good Ms. Helen (her mother-in-law) and I ate so much we made ourselves sick!":p

Good morning everyone it's 7:00 am and a cloudy start to the day, though the temperatures are more springlike at 10c to 15c (50f to 60f) it's still chilly in the wind.

I will start on my list of things to finish off the decorating today, I have to fit a new door to the bottom of the stairs, fit some new skirting board and do a lot of painting of the woodwork, plus fit some new electrical sockets, and son...... at least I am down to the details now [IMG]

I am going out with the family on Sunday, to celebrate my grandson James 8th birthday and on Monday the girls are taking me out to breakfast for their Christmas treat, a bit late but welcome [IMG] ...... enjoy your weekend whatever you are up to....
