Oh yeah, the power was only off for a couple of hours, and we have propane for the generator. The temperatures have been very low here though, outdoors not indoors.

This is the weekend that Terry and Lisa were going on the train trip to visit that beautiful little town and the marble quarry. Possibly, he is not finding good internet connection out there (I think he said they rent rooms from people mostly), or they are just too busy touring the town and the quarry.
I am looking forward to seeing his pictures, too, Patsy, and Terry always has such great stories and beautiful pictures of all of his travels. I am SO happy that he shares it with us stuck-at-home people.

Good morning from Sortavala, we arrived on Friday night on the dot after a smooth train journey, to be met by our landlady who is a lovely person, accompanied by a security guard, who had to register me in the town being a foreigner, in the border area with Finland.
We then drove to the studio which is part of a former Finnish hotel. It's lovely and warm and cozy, despite being -6c out....

    Saturday
It's 9:00 am and the sun is shining, so we will go and explore the town and museums here.

    Have a great weekend......

It's Sunday morning now and we are going on a day trip by taxi to a marble canyon, created by the naturalision of long disused marble quarries.. it's about 30 miles north of here..
    Enjoy your Sunday...

Hi everyone, hope your day is going well,

It's 7pm here and we are chilling out/warming up in the studio after a good day.

This morning we found a guy in an old Lada in town to take us into the mountains and the granite canyon for a few dollars.
Spent a few hours walking over the mountain tops which were spectacular, and very cold at -6c (21f) with an occasional snow storm [IMG] We managed about 4 miles, but because the paths were all ice and snow it was slow going. I did manage it without falling which was good [IMG]

We got back to our favourite restaurant here, and spent a few hours having dinner and dessert with a few beers.

I will post some pics when I get back to St Peter tomorrow night or Tuesday, they will be mainly monochrome snow and marble [IMG] ....

There is nothing wrong with the two minutes, @Patsy Faye , and you should feel good about it. That is two whole minutes more than you were doing before you got the exercise equipment.
When I first started trying to walk after my heart procedure, I could barely make it the short distance from our house the the little convenience store on the corner.
Both Bobby and I were in such poor health that we had to stop several times coming and going, and we sat on a small car dolly and rested about halfway there.
After we got home, I had to lay down for a while and recuperate.
Now, we walk down there and back and barely feel the exertion, and do not need to stop and rest. It just takes time, and determination; so just keep pedaling away, and soon you will be doing two minute exercises several times per day, and then gradually adding more minutes.
I can't do any 4 mile walks either; but I am getting closer to that all the time. So, just enjoy what you can do and keep on working on it.
