    Great looking T-Bones, @Babs Hunt!

I'll have a whole steak, cole slaw and half a baked potato please :)

    No beans for me.

I don't like the beans either Chrissy. I just heat them up for my Honey. :)

Last night was dinner at Cracker Barrel. I had Chicken Fried Steak w/mashed potatoes, green beans and broccoli. Have had this before and was might good..........still is. Wife had their hamburger. Not so good. Says Ruby Tuesday's hamburger is much better. Having sweetened tea for a change was good.

Our first asparagus from our garden this year was fried with bacon and onions to go with a ribeye steak.

Your post about the bacon, onions and asparagus got me to thinking. So Last night I make asparagus with onions, bacon- cooked in cast iron skillet. I let them get really brown and almost crusty- then added a tad of water. Poured this over some cooked ramen noddles(without the packet)...along with warm crusty bread... was delicious :)

I regularly have asparagus...I freeze it when it's in season and have it throughout the year @Sheldon Scott , but it must be delicious straight from the garden.

Tonight, I had thinly sliced roast beef... with potatoes fritters in a thin batter, baked in the oven, and Broccoli Rice... ( for anyone who doesn't know..it's simply Broccoli put through the ricer..it's delicious and far easier to eat than florets and stalks)

I did not eat any veggies until I was almost 30ish . My idea of veggie was a pickle and a tad of lettuce. While working in different offices, and others I have known thru out my life is where I started eating veggies. At some point, just pork beans and fried chicken does not cut it,and you have to expand your culinary likes. Would you believe until a few months ago, would not touch an avocado ? Oh Lord, I should have never tried those-um I can not get enough of that stuff now. To think I could of died and never experienced the taste:eek: of avocado. So, even at the age,I am trying different things. Asparagus is one I can handle real well -as long as it is fresh or frozen...not those limp things in jars. There are still many i rather eat raw than cooked. I feel me ole departed mother smile every time I take a bite of raw spinach salad. She would be so proud :p.
For tonight we will be having flounder , baked potato , and um broccoli :)

I've always liked veggies but will get tired of one and then not eat for awhile, then I have it and like it again.

I have more trouble with fruit but I am snacking on a Fuji apple right now. :)

Yesterday my Honey grilled marinated chicken legs (without the skin), chicken sausage and marinated shrimp in foil packets. I made sides of potato salad and green beans to go with it. So tonight we are having "encores" of this. :)

This is just routine blood work but I've blown it off for 6 months and I have. Arourine drs visit on Wednesday ...he probably won't get the results by then but at least I can say I did it...

The lab work up paper is from December, hope they don't have an issue with that...or I'll have fasted for nothing. :(
