Good morning everyone....way too hot the next few days. 97 today and 100 tomorrow! When I wake up at 4:00 AM the house is already at 75 degrees...means A/C will be turned on earlier. Hope everyone has a great day...bet it's not hotter than mine.
Is it normally this hot already in Fresno, or are you having an earlier spring and summer this year, @Chrissy Cross ? We had a pretty mild winter here, even for Alabama, and then it pretty much moved smoothly into spring, and almost 90 here some days. For April, this seems hotter than normal, and we are waiting to see what happens this month. I was looking at a weather map online, and it showed a hotter than normal summer for both the West Coast and the South. This means more wildfires out west, which is always bad. Bobby has been busy working on that house next door with the owner of the house, trying to get it ready to rent again. (I hope we get nice neighbors !) But he was starting to level out the back yard to build the back deck and set up the swimming pool next to it, so it would be easier for us to get in and out of the pool than last year, climbing over that pool ladder was. I have never had good balance, and am terrible at even small stepladders; so I am looking forward to having the back deck and being able to get into the little swimming pool from there. It has actually been hot enough to swim some days; so as soon as Bobby gets done with that house, he is going to get the pool set up for us again.
A very good morning to you all, just getting ready for our flight to Bosnia at 5pm today, Lisa is working this morning and we will have lunch before we leave for the airport. Enjoy your day..............
Good morning everyone! Last hot day before a slight cool down and back to some normal temperatures. @Yvonne Smith, no it's not normal to be in the upper 90's or 100 yet. I don't know what kind of summer we will have but I'm hoping for a cooler one. Have a great day everyone!
We have some "very much needed" rain headed our way. The last rain system (this last Monday) went north of us. We didn't get a drop of water. Have an A/C problem in our vehicle again. Two months ago, took it to Midas because the A/C switch fuse continued to blow out. Spent almost $1,200 for a new Compressor and install, but do have a 3-Year Warranty on the Compressor. The air worked fine for two months, then last Friday, the fuse blew. Put a new fuse in and it blew also. Went back to Midas, they had the vehicle for two days, but just couldn't figure out why the fuse continues to blow. We were told that we needed to take it to the Dealer, that we most likely will need either a new Body Control Module and/or Control Panel. The Body Control Module would need programmed and only the Dealer can do that correctly. Thank God Midas didn't charge us for two days of testing. But now, will have to pay the Dealer for testing and repair. Oh well, got to have A/C! Yep, there's that word "money" again. Oh how there are times when "money" is the key to many things.
Good morning, only 86 today and a cooler weekend but back up to the 80's where we should be in May. Have a great day!
A quick hello from Bosnia, we spent yesterday in Sarajevo and spent an amazing 10 hour day walking around the town there and up in the mountains. The weather was terrible in the morning with heavy rain, but I bought an umbrella for a dollar and we walked until it stopped at midday, then it turned into a beautiful sunny afternoon. We were both completely exhausted and could barely stand so after having some strawberries and cream we bought on the way back for supper we had an early night. Today we picked up a rental car and drove down to Mostar a 100 miles or so south where we are staying for three nights. Mostar from the hotel we are staying in with the famous 16th century bridge. Hope you all have a good weekend
