Good morning from Vienna, the flight to here was less than an hour, though we now have a 3 hour wait until we leave for St Petersburg. It's sunny here but cold out at 6c. A photo of Vienna from the web, sadly I have never been to the town, only the airport
It's going to be HOT here today, possibly recorder breaking. It's somewhat smoky from a large wildfire on the Georgia/Florida border. Hopefully, finally, got our air fixed in our vehicle, but still have a rather loud frontend suspension noise at times. On the way home from the Dodge Dealer, me driving the Durango and my wife driving our Dodge Ram 1500, engine light came on while pulling into our apt. complex. Wife was going to take a PTO day today, so we could finally get our boat out on the water, but with it being smoky today and hot, she decided to go to work. I can tell you folks "have a nice day", but with a problem with both of our vehicles, the smoke, 94 degrees (plus humidity), it's not so "nice" here.
I am living in Southaven, MS right now, but moving back to HSV, AL this weekend. I have been here a bit over a year, but it is time to go home. I look forward to being close to my friends there again. Lois I do know that. I was wondering why we are a month ahead in seasons.
Welcome back @Joyce Mcgregor! I'm one of the people that friended you on FB yesterday. Really hoping everything works out well for you. Having @Yvonne Smith helping..I'm sure it will! Good luck. I don't want to say my real name on here even if everybody probably knows it but I'm the one with the Dachshund for my avatar on Facebook ...that's my dog, Pickles.
We are back home in St.Peter at last over a day of travelling, though the three hours in Vienna airport were relaxing, it's a well designed and comfortable place to be. The WiFi is fast free and unlimited, the food good and the seating great, what more could you want. Enjoy your day whatever you are up to......
I've flown from that airport a few times and also remember a long night there when we were taking my son who was visiting us in Budapest over Christmas to the airport in Vienna. There was a snow storm so we decided to head out early in case we couldn't drive later. Spent about 8 hrs there until my son was safely on his way back to Illinois...he was in college then. Forget the reason he flew from Vienna instead of Budapest but maybe it was cheaper or we were going to be in Vienna anyway.
Lisa relaxing in Vienna airport brushing up on her Spanish for our trip to Peru in July, while our gadgets charge on the power supply shelf, they provide mains and USB charging sockets...
