Mashed sweet potatoes, lettuce, cabbage, cucumber, rocket and sunflower seeds salad, rice pasta with tomato sauce.Remember I'm on my detox plan.
Baked chicken with Itilian dressing and Frenchs onions, baby potatoes with dill weed and butter, ranch beans and fried zucchini.. .Lordy it was good
I found some fresh ground red pepper at the little Korean grocery the other day, and bought a whole bag of it. It is not as fine of a grind as cayenne, and is a rich dark red, and not the orange color that cayenne is. This is not as hot as cayenne, either, and I like it because you can actually taste the peppers and not just the heat like I do with cayenne. I decided that since we were supposed to have rain and thunderstorms, it would be a good day to make a pot of chili, and use the new peppers. I added hamburger, regular bell peppers, a jalapeño, onion, mushrooms, and carrots, and it has been simmering all day in the crockpot. It turned out really spicy (which both of us like) and delicious, so it made a good meal, even if we didn't get the rain (yet).
I made chili yesterday too. It was spicy but it's even spicier today, Having sat in the refrigerator overnight, the chiles and the jalapeño peppers are stronger.
Mother's Day meal is going to be Chili's mango chili tiliapia, grilled shrimp, loaded potatoes, house salad and for dessert an extra side of loaded potatoes. For my Honey he is having the house salad, half a rack of barbecued ribs, shrimp, and loaded potatoes. It's so nice to have those restaurant gift cards on days like this!
I continue on my detox diet. I think I' m getting 'green. Again vegetables soup - peas, kale, carrot, potatoes, onions, pumpkin, and rice pasta.Wish I could have some black coffee. I really miss that, and cheese. And eggs
I was eating pretty badly. I had a migraine almost every week, was kind of irritated, couldn't sleep well, had a liver pain, felt enormous...My friend - who is a yoga instructor - suggested me her doctor, who is an ayurvedic therapist. Well, I saw him last month and I decided to follow the diet he recommended. I've been doing that for 3 weeks now, and I've been feeling much better. So, 35 days without any meat, butter, any animal products, no coffee, sugar, any artificial products, no bread or wheat flour. Just specific teas, juices, fruit and vegetables. I feel calmer, more relaxed and had a migraine just on the first day. My skin looks better, and I can sleep better as well. Haven 't lots of weight though, just 3 kg in 3 weeks. However, I feel more energetic and haven't had more burning pains. General well being. After this first step I'll see the doctor again and we're going to adapt the program. He said at first it is just a cleansing, after years of bad habits: liters of coffee, skipping meals, eating unhealthily and drinking little water. Eventually I know it'll be fine. But look forward to having a coffee and eating a cheese sandwich - just one!
I do drink some coffee and eat some meat but usually just chicken, lots of veggies, some fruit and drink lots of water. I still avoid any bad carbs and seldom eat any bread unless I find a very low carb, no sugar one. I don't do this to lose weight but it keeps me from gaining it...
