@Terry Page ....at least where u eat out over there, there is portion control. Over here if everything is not piled sky high, many folk do not think they are getting their moneys worth.
Today for Sunday lunch I had roast beef, Yorkshire puddings, buttered peppered savoy cabbage and baby potatoes in their skins with a little drizzle of garlic butter, and a beef gravy
You know how some of us, like to eat breakfast for dinner ? Am I the only one who at times eat in reverse..and have dinner for breakfast? I find much more filling than many breakfast foods. Cereal , to me, is a snack food, not a meal food. Except oatmeal, which I usually eat only in the wintertime.
We had a stuffed (with mince, celery and onions) roasted butternut squash for dinner ....................
Sort of @Gloria Mitchell I sometimes skip breakfast ........go on to lunch/dinner and then have breakfast in the evening
Here is the soup and potato pancakes I made for dinner, the soup had carrots, onions, courgettes, potatoes, peppers, celery and some crispy bacon bits I fried. I added some spices and chilli and it went down very well......
That looks good! I just had a bowl of twigs with unsweetened almond/coconut milk. It just looks like twigs, it's called Fiber One cereal...loaded with fiber.
@Terry Page ...how do you make the potato pancakes over there? I only know the southern way, and they are a bit heavy... yours look lighter.
Since I hadn't been feeling well the past few days and didn't have much of an appetite and the thought of cooking made me sick to my stomach....my Honey ate "encores" that were in the refrigerator. Yesterday I was feeling better and so I took out a large pack of lean ground beef, 2 chicken breasts, and some smoked sausage and I ended up making 5 oven ranch hamburgers, some taco meat, and my husband's favorite spaghetti sauce with ground beef and smoked sausage. I smothered the chicken breasts and added green, yellow, and red bell pepper strips to them. As sides for the chicken I made mashed sweet potatoes and lemon pepper fresh broccoli spears. A mixed salad was the side for the spaghetti and I torn lettuce and sliced tomatoes for the hamburgers along with shredding some lettuce and dicing some tomatoes for the tacos. We will have plenty to eat for the next few days with all of this. My husband chose to eat a hamburger with all the trimmings with his chips. And I ate some smothered chicken, mashed sweet potatoes, and broccoli spears. For dessert I made a small mixed fresh fruit bowl while my Honey ate some of his Chip Ahoy chewy reeses peanut butter cup cookies.
