Just read that a 10 year boy was killed in Alabama because of the storm. Seems he was near the water and a wave suddenly tossed a big log at him.
Funny..........whenever we take our vehicle in for repair and the shop manager says "good morning" to us, I look at him and say "it can't be that good of a morning. Our vehicle is here for repair and that costs." So much for the "good morning" statement then.
Hmmm......it would seem that your very presence at his establishment would at least make HIM very happy. Now, if he said to you, " It's such a good morning I am going to give you 20% off", it might allow you to have a semblance of a good morning as well.
Decisions, decisions! Too many decisions to make all at one time. I was standing there making coffee deciding which to do first. Today is garbage day so I have to take the can out first. No, I should take my meds first and the trash can is second. hmmmm...the dogs are staring at me so I had best fill the water bowl then do the rest after that. I look down and decide that I might wish to get dressed first before I do the trash so I have to edge out the third step in my plan to make room for pants, shoes and shirt which leads me to the fact that it's raining so I'll need a hat as well. Which hat? dunno, whatever I grab.... Then as I look through the kitchen window while I finish grinding the coffee beans and hear the pitter patter of raindrops falling on the pool cover, I get the message that I should make room for a bathroom run...quickly. I gotta go but I haven't finished making my coffee and the dogs start complaining about their lack of water while watching me do "the pee pee dance" with a recent trick knee that says I'm not moving anywhere for a minute which brought up the fact that somewhere along the line I need to find my knee sock before taking out the garbage or anything else that demands walking. I'm not going to go into how all of that went but alas, I'm finally having my coffee. Although, thinking back, did I water the trash can and give the dogs my meds and why is my knee sock around my neck and why is my coffee just hot water and my T-shirt is inside out and backward.......
Ha ha, funny! Good morning everyone, even hotter today, 110! Going out early to run a few errands and then will come home and vegetate in the cool house.
We have lots of cool rain coming down out here in Alabama today, and more to come, from the looks of the radar. I do not envy you having to be in 110 heat , @Chrissy Cross ! Going outside and getting everything done early is what I do here on the hot days, too, but at least we can get out in the little swimming pool and cool off later in the day. We have WAY more rain here in Alabama than we need; so I am going to share some Alabama Rain with you......
Thanks Yvonne! Although I was a fan of Jim Croce that song is new to me...or I just don't remember it, lol.
So far TS Cindy has not affected us much and that is answered prayer to me. The wind gusts are starting to pick up more and the rain is coming more often too...but is is not a heavy rain and I am praying the heavy rain will continue to veer away from us as it has been doing. We are blessed that it is also my Honey's day off and we can cozy up together and go through the worst of the storm safely inside our Home. Prayers for all those in this storm's path that they and all God has blessed them with will stay safe from all harm.
Yesterday the Movers packed up my daughter's home in Texas and this morning they will sign the papers over to the new owners. It is a done deal that they will no longer call Texas their home, and by July 1st they will once again be official residents of Lafayette, Louisiana. This will not only bring some changes to their lives (for the better) but to mine too. I will be helping over here with my youngest grandchildren...just as I would ride the train to Texas to help with them. Having them here will make it so much easier on me though...and I will be able to go home to my Honey on the days I help out and sleep in my own bed every night too. The biggest change will be that I won't have alot of time to come and chat on the Senior's Forum anymore. So I wanted to share this will y'all this morning so y'all won't think something happened to me when y'all don't see me posting. I have enjoyed my time here very much and pray God's best for all of you.
We will miss you Babs, but wish you happiness and fun with your daughter and her family being there with you.
