Good morning folks. I know it must be a beautiful day for many of you, somewhere, just not here. I awoke this morning at 4:am, and I new we were in for another flooding. I get these weird barometric headaches at times such as these, but once the skies open up my headaches go away immediately. All last week everyone was prepared for that mess that never came to us, but I think @Babs Hunt and @Yvonne Smith had to deal with some of that. I didn't get a headache so I was pretty sure we were alright here in Houston. Very much out of character, Izzy, the sleep hound that he is, was pushing to go out before dawn, and the start of the rain. He hates getting his hair wet, but he loves to lay in front of the glass storm door after I open the front door for the day. @Terry Page, I don't know how you keep up the pace that all your travels must demand. But I guess if your use to traveling because of your career, then sitting around your home would feel like stagnation. I hope you continue for a very long time, remember I, (and maybe a few others), get to live vicariously through you.
I didn't travel because of my career @Ina I. Wonder in fact I didn't do that much travelling apart from an annual vacation, until I met Lisa some 15 years ago, Lisa is the driving force because on my own, I doubt I would stir from sitting on the terrace drinking beer and doing nothing much
A very good morning to you all, it's noon here and we have sunshine and showers at the moment, but warm enough at 22c 70f I think I have some business paperwork to sort out and a bit of trimming to do in the garden, nothing too overwhelming, I will post some photos on here as well......... I hope your weekends are going well...
Hidy do you all....yesterday a bit of a bummer but feel today will be better Grand daughter spent the nite and this morning went and got something she really likes...Donuts...like we need any donuts.but good excuse to buy a few. You all have a great day
Good morning everyone! 13 years ago today my husband died. I'm not feeling particularly sad today, not feeling anything really... maybe later. I have a good cry almost every other day when I listen to music that reminds me of him so maybe I'm just cried out at the moment. Think today is our last triple digit day, 104. The next week should be in the upper 90's which is more tolerable.
We all feel for you Chrissy. From everything you have said about him, he had to be a terrific husband and father. We all know you miss him a lot.
I am glad that today is looking better than yesterday did. Were you able to get the new television set up and working properly with the Amazon Firestick ?
Good morning to you all, another week is upon us I have a business meeting with my solicitor this morning, and then maybe a spot of gardening this afternoon........it's sunny at the moment and a fair day is forecast.......enjoy yours whatever you are up to ..
@Maryt Hope , I saw you tree lined walkway, and I thought how lovely. Then I scrolled down, and I saw your big orange tabby. Wow, what a beautiful feline. He so reminded me of my late husband's big ole kittycat who lived well into his mid twenties. I've decided to get my pup, Izzy, and me a kitty for company. I miss having a cat. Mine passed five years ago, and I think I'm ready for another now that I've gotten my daughter to promise that if something happens to me she'll take care of it.
We aren't going to get a pup (Shih Tzu) nearly as soon as originally thought. Just too many expenses right now. With the repair of our boat, that isn't completely done and paid for yet. We are thinking about a trip to Vegas early next year and possibly a trip to Niagara Falls also. Money, money, money.......everything, including a dog, takes money. Would love to have one right now, but just isn't going to happen.
