@Tim Burr does your Misses tease you about, "the year Tim tried to slide by"? Do you remember what she did for you that day, aside from not braining you? It was the opposite way around for me and Michael. Gifts between a couple was a foreign idea to me. My parents never did this. This never came up in my first marriage of over two years either. I was only 16 when Michael brought me flowers for our first anniversary, and of course I didn't have anything for him. After that we agreed that a day for just the two of us would be well received by both of us. That worked until I figured out that Michael was very sentimental. I finally got it right the year I bought him a 1963 Ford truck in 1995. I think that gift finally made up for almost 30 years of my sliding by on anniversaries.
Of course there are 'things' I've done over the years that always get brought up when the time is right to embarrass me. - Year I brought home the 'Charlie Brown' Christmas tree. - When I thought 'Pirates of the Caribbean' ride was only at Disneyland, not Disney World and bet the wife a large sum of money, then she walked us over to the ride at Disney World... - The time I got totally lost driving through St. Louis and now anytime I can't find a place locally, she asks if I put the address into google as 'St. Louis'... The list goes on and on.
lol @Tim Burr , my first Christmas with my husband...we did have a ski trip planned but still...he gave me a sweatband, alarm clock, and wool socks I joked about it a lot so the next year he bought me a dishwasher which, by some standards, appliances are also not politically correct either but I was thrilled with it.
Hi to you all just a quick check in to let you know I survived another day, a completely different one because we hired a car and driver from our host here, and visited several nearby Inca ruins though in opposite directions to Cuzco. The last one was truly awe inspiring impossible to capture on camera, but I will post some photos when I get a chance anyway, Our days are so full that by the time we get back to the apartment we are exhausted. Tomorrow we are on the move using the same driver to a town called Pisac, where we will stay for the night, en-route we have several places of interest to visit ... I hope your weekend went or is going well, sorry I am all behind on here I will promise to catch up soon....
@Lara Moss , now that I like! I'm generally not one for abstract art, but I find the above to be very relaxing.
Good Morning All Not sure why I'm awake. No work today, no real projects on the slate, I can be a 'lump' if I want, but I still wake up at a ridiculous hour. Well, hope everyone enjoys their day. I'll find something to amuse myself with...
