I thought I would share a couple of pictures that @Denise Happyfeet sent me. She is always going for long walks, and since I can't be out in the direct summer sunlight she sends me pictures of what she sees on her walks. These are just two of the shots she has taken this week.
Goood Morning to you all. In my, I can handle anything today mode. Coffed up and raring to go....Lolo, where, I have no idea
It's 10am here and the sun is out at 70f. We are resting until we go and catch the bus to the Machu Picchu site, it takes about 20 minutes to get there, and we have a 12:00noon till 5:30pm ticket. Will post photos later.
Good Morning All Just finished watching the 12th stage of the Tour de France. A mountain stage with a climbing finish. Nice to see the tour recovering from all the bad press. Reminds me of the trip myself and some mates made to North France to be on the side of the road on stage 4, 1989. A short hop from the UK. One of my favorites of the sport won it all that year, Greg Lemond. My two favorite riders:
@Lara Moss , that is a very pretty avatar picture. You look so happy, and your flower sets it off just right. If I try smiling for the camera , I tend to look drunk, and I don't drink.
Hello from the top of Machu Picchu, it's a glorious sunny day, and we virtually have the place to ourselves because of the train stoppage. The internet signal is very good even here Hope you are all having a great day
Thank you Ina and Chrissy. My avatar was taken 10 months ago when I went to St. Augustine Florida with my daughters. I had taken them out to The Columbia for dinner in the historic district. We then walked the cobbled street lined with quaint shops. The girls bought me the flower which I clipped to my hair and then we happened upon a hidden courtyard that was magical, where a live musician played on a small stage under the stars and lanterns were hung from old oak trees. The floor was just earth and there were wooden benches and tables and a small outdoor bar. There was no charge to sit and watch the music. I was pleasantly surprised at how charming it was.
