Yes red is the prominent colour @Ina I. Wonder...... the national airline, the train company, the flag the dresses at weddings are often red as well, I bought a tablecloth and place mats back with me and they are red The most noticeable feature of the people to me, is their gentleness and helpfulness, even the police who are not generally armed are pretty gentle and easy going, it is a very divided country though, with lots of corruption and an unbalanced society, much like a lot of countries I guess..... the people of course are like us all at in the end, with the same problems and issues that we all have about life in general, travelling does give you that perspective .......... in a way the world shrinks to one human family with a very thin cultural layer imposed on each of our societies....
Good morning from a sunny Worcester, I have slept late again this morning but nothing is planned so it doesn't matter, I will do some gardening later and sort out some of my holiday/vacation photos.......it's Oliver's 17th birthday today and we went to a restaurant as a family to celebrate it last night. I did take my camera but forgot to put the card in it, so couldn't take any pics Have a good Monday....... Titled "Old Friends" Untitled Machu Picchu (Traditional)
it is actually a bit chilly here this morning, only 67 right now, and it was probably even cooler earlier. I woke up during the night and was cold, pulled all of the covers up to keep warm. It has been so hot and muggy even at night that we just have the sheets and a little duvet cover with nothing inside of it, and even that we didn't need a lot of the time. Now, it looks like we are going to be in the 60's at night for a while; so I think that I might have to put the lightweight blanket back on again. Still, it is supposed to be 90 today, so it will be swimming pool weather this afternoon again. We are having our morning coffee, and then heading for the fitness center to swim and exercise, and then I will probably check with @Joyce Mcgregor (Evelyn) to see if she needs to go grocery shopping.
Cathy had a day off work and my other daughter Caroline and her son James came round this morning, and we spent the day gardening, we dug up the old woody lavender bushes on the terrace and replaced them with some new ones I bought. We also did some general weeding and trimming, there is a lot more to do so I will hopefully carry on tomorrow, weather permitting.... Hope you are having/had a good day...
Meant to quote the other pics but oh well...was going to say I love how colorful they are and they'd go well in your old post "thread of many colors"!
Good morning and a Happy August to you all......I woke at 5am but have been very slow at getting going this morning, it's almost 9 am and I am still in bed on my third coffee with a bit of added ginger in this one It's a bright and breezy morning so will eventually get into the garden for more pruning......have a great Tuesday.....
Good morning to you all, I spent most of yesterday in bed nursing a heavy cold, the first one for many a year, I took a few pills and slept most of the time................ I am still sneezing this morning but feeling it's on the way out now.... Lisa has flown to Croatia in the early hours for a two week holiday/vacation with her family, and thankfully didn't develop a cold.... I have a business appointment this morning so will need to get up for that...... Have a good Wednesday...
