Awake at 2 am..up at 4:30.. up at 5am...not sure what my problem is... ooh well. Hoping all have a blessed and happy day
Couldn't resist letting Big Bird say my good morning to everyone. My two youngest grandkids are into him and all the Sesame Street characters right now, just as all my other grandkids were when they were little and they love that Granny knows the songs and characters too. To see their joy and laughter brings joy and laughter to me too. @Gloria Mitchell It seems that the minute you finish paying the month's bills...a few days later you start receiving next months! I am just 6 months older than my Honey but now that we are getting older we are beginning to have more health problems and as a team...we both do what we need to do for each other...even if it isn't our favorite thing to do. It's Friday...and I'm thinking what am I going to cook today. I don't like waking up and having to really think about what I'm going to cook...or if I have all the ingredients to make what I'm thinking of cooking. It makes me just want to serve peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with some fresh fruit. I think I will go check out the What's for supper posts and see if anything gives me ideas for our supper tonight. Have a blessed weekend.
Good morning to you all, I had a short night late going to sleep and waking up early, so a bit slow getting going today........it's a dull Saturday here but supposed to brighten up a bit later, more trimming in the garden today, plus another bonfire I guess Have a good weekend....
Saturday morning and I just finished making my Honey his favorite Breakfast pie and white gravy. It's going to be a good morning indeed. Hope everyone has a peaceful weekend.
Good morning a very Happy Sunday to you all, when you get there,........ the sun is shining here and I slept reasonably well, so I will do more gardening today. A few pictures by the Russian artist Leonid Baranov...... Leonid Baranov is an artist from Ekaterinburg city who draws the modern life in Russian village. He never became famous or rich, and he prefers to drink a lot of vodka as a real Russian and doesn’t care much about the missing fame.
Good Morning to everyone. I was hoping to sleep late but as I grow older that happens less and when I am able to sleep late it is like I have received a pleasant gift and I savor the delight of those times. I'm savoring a wonderful cup of coffee this morning with 2 mini banana nut muffins also. Coffee and a sweet treat each morning is a very pleasant gift and a ritual I truly enjoy. @Terry Page I have really been enjoying the pictures you have been sharing of the older couples and people showing so much joy on their faces. Thank you for these pictures that put a smile on my face too. You have enriched my life by sharing your travels with us and the beautiful art work you share too. All of it is very much appreciated. Blessings this day and always.
We seem to be having a sunny day here today, too; but when I looked at the 10 day forecast, it still shows lots of rain and thunderstorms for the next week or so. It seems like this summer has had a whole lot of rain, and we have barely used the swimming pool, unlike last year when we were out in there getting a suntan every single day. The rain has made the mosquitoes worse than ever this year, so even when the weather is cool enough to go outside, you just get attacked by mosquitoes. Even wearing the mosquito repellant does not seem to deter them very much, if at all. Both Bobby and I have been remembering when we lived out in the country at Florence, and we were in the pool just about every day all summer, and had lots of sunshine for our garden, too. Neither one of wants to move again, but sometimes, it is really tempting to see if we can move back there again. We were both so sick when we left there that we needed to be closer to doctors and hospitals; but the health problems are pretty much gone now, and we could do more than we could when we left there. I have some almonds soaking and am going to make fresh almond milk this afternoon. It is a lot better tasting than the watery stuff that they sell at the grocery store, and so easy to make in the Vitamix.
Today didn't turn out as I had planned, in a good way....... instead of trimming the hedges I went to the Annual Re-Enactors show, I went last year and posted some photos I think anyway it's set in the grounds of a large country mansion, some 4,500 acres in all. http://www.worcesterreenactors.uk/m5/ Mike my daughter Cathy's partner built a mock 1940's style pub which he takes all over the country to various fairs and shows, he made it from scratch and it's full of wartime memorabilia. I helped my two daughters run the bar which manage to sell 10 barrels of beer over the weekend... Here are a few photos I took of the pub.... Cathy standing in the doorway... Even the old radio plays wartime music and Churchill's speeches, though it is connected to an iPhone Cathy and Caroline behind the bar...
