I must be old fashioned .... I’m having surgery tomorrow to fix a women’s problem ....the nurse phoned me a while ago that’s going to be taking care of me to remind me to remove any nail polish and piercings , .... I don’t have any .only my ears and I rarely wear earrings ....She also asked if I’ve had any recent tattoos and or piercings ....that may not be completely healed especially in the area that’s useally covered ...... I must be old and just plain boring ..because I haven’t got any of the above ...the nurse was close to my age so we both had a bit of a giggle about what she was reminding me to remove prior to the surgery tomorrow
@Kate Ellery Katie, I absolutely loved your post! Have you been indisposed of late that we have not been hearing from you? I believe you contributed to THAT previous Senior Forum from which I was exiled. I remember an answer you gave to a PM I sent you. That your hubby would not like it if you received any "sexy" PMs from me. Was that you? I love your country, it's beauty and splendor, and really appreciate talking to someone "closely" who is down under. Dang any others if they are jealous! Yes I get asked that all the time pre surgery @Kate Ellery . I'm the same as you, only pierced ears..no piercings anywhere else, and definitely no tattoos... but you know I have seen women our age who have tattoos and lots of piercings...each to their own but I personally think it's extremely unattractive Good luck tomorrow, you know already that we're both in hospital at the same time tomorrow..but yours is going to be a little more complicated than mine, so I hope all goes well..
Some of us are more "old fashion" than others. Two things that really attracted my wife to me is that I have no tattoos and/or body piercings. Just before meeting her, I had been thinking about getting an Eagle tattooed on each arm, but decided against it. For one thing, tattoos aren't cheap. Anyway, I'm glad I decided against it. We've seen older ladies with one or more tattoos, but just asked ourselves......."why?". Some older ladies, just like men, get a tattoo at an older age to make them feel younger. One word goes with this.........whatever!

@Kate Ellery ...that's not being old fashioned. However the questions asked nowdays are another sign of changing times. So many people, the young in particuliar have multiples of tats and piercings...some in unmentionable places. I don't see or feel the need to look like a walking comic book ...but hey to each his own.
