A quick hello and goodbye, it's 8:30 pm here and we have been out and about most of the day, the bad news is my laptop stopped working altogether a couple of days ago, so we have taken it to a local repairman to have a look at it, he quoted $45 to fit a new keyboard and repair the computer, which is remarkably cheap he will ring on Monday to confirm it's what he thinks it is. In the meantime I have bought a new 10" Notebook at a sale in a shop down the road for a $100 which is remarkably cheap as well, but of course the system is all in cyrillic, so I am in the process of converting it to English then I will be able to do more than just type online Will catch up and see you all tomorrow ................. enjoy the rest of the weekend
I woke up at 2am and could not go back to sleep so here I am about ready to have my morning coffee with some Grands cinnamon rolls that I just finished baking in the oven. The wonderful aroma they have been giving off while they are baking is just heavenly. It's nippy this morning but not cold enough for the heater to come on...just putting my flannel shirt over my pajama top makes me feel warm and cozy. It's so quiet I could hear a mouse scurry across our floor if we had any...which I'm happy to say we don't. Sometimes I miss having my children small and still in the house...but most days I know that if they were still here I could never have the peace and quiet like I have early this morning, nor would I be able to "play" on the computer like I am right now. I don't know what this day will bring but I do know that I am thankful for this quiet and peaceful time of this new day. Have a blessed one everyone.
A very Good Evening, I have been for a longish walk with Lisa this morning down the main street here "Nevsky Prospect" we walked about 2 miles and came back on the bus. The morning was surprisingly sunny so I took a few videos which I will post below............ I will go and have dinner now which is a spicy cottage pie I have made .................. Enjoy your Monday ...
Good morning to you all, it's still not really dawn here though it's 9 am, I slept reasonably well and will have a look at the next project here, painting the bathroom. We bought the paint the other day, and it's a straightforward case of sealing some stains on the ceiling and repainting it, plus the walls. The only problem is here the ceilings are very high so it involves high ladder work Have a great Tuesday ...... here are some humorous cat paintings from a local artist Vladimir Rumyantsev evidently known throughout Europe and the US for his "St.Petersburg Cats" I have posted a few in the past, I find them funny and clever the way he capture expressions....
Going to take care of our youngest grandson for a few hours this morning while his Mom goes to the DMV and changes their vehicle things over from Texas to Louisiana. I ran a few errands yesterday and stopped by the Library and filled my bag with new books to read...reading is a stress reliever and relaxer for me so I always like to have some books on hand that I haven't read. They also help me wind down at night before I go to sleep. It's warming up again over here and will be in the 70's today with plenty of sunshine. That's what I like about Louisiana...usually we don't have weather extremes...although we have been having a few surprises in this area in the past few years. I think that has been pretty much happening everywhere though. Have a good day everyone. For those having health problems I hope you feel better today.
Good morning y'all! Heading home as soon as it's light out...another hour! There's a dense fog advisory in Fresno but hopefully by the time I get there it will be gone but I think I'm gonna hit some fog somewhere which sucks.
Just wondering, why are you saying "y'all"? You don't live in the South or are from there. We live in the South, but don't even say it. No big deal, was just wondering.
