yesterday the pit was paying a visit to a former neighbor and seeing how awful my carefully tended garden is going to ruin with the people that bought our place next door. the peak was winning $20 on a lottery ticket.
Missy, I understand about your seeing your garden so "untended". When my husband and I moved from the front Cottage to the back one so we could have the big yard view instead of the parking lot view I had to leave behind the flower beds I had so carefully tended in our first Cottage. I thought who ever moved into the Cottage would appreciate having a nice flower bed filled with flowers, etc. But everytime I went to get our mail in the front I noticed the flower beds looking shabbier and shabbier. Two or three tenants moved in and out of our old Cottage...young single guys mostly who were to busy being young to appreciate my flower beds. So when the last one moved out and my Penta plant was just blooming away for the 3rd season in a row...I went and dug it up along with a multi-colored flowered bush lantana plant and moved it to our new home which I should have done in the first place. What is important to each of us...is not always important to someone else. It's nice that you won that $20 too.
Peak.. got a refund from a doctor bill. not a lot of money but unexpected .Another peak a GS, hv not seen since last year came by. That was nice. Pit-very tired. Everything is prepared for our trip tomorrow. Will probably peak in, but no posts until we get back. Looks as if rain is going to be in the way coming and going.Hope you all have a good week end.
peak was finding a find at the thrift store this morning pit was listening to the dog downstairs bark non stop.....and I can't say anything cause it's the landlord's dog.....another 5 months and I am outta here
Peak yesterday was my Honey and I finished getting our Home decorated for Christmas...he took care of the outside, which I added ornaments and candy canes to our outside tree. And I did the inside Christmas decor. While we finished up everything we listened to our Christmas music adding to our Christmas spirit. No Pit for yesterday.
Today's Peak was having my Optometrist tell me my vision has hardly changed at all and I do not need new prescription glasses.
Pit: Can feel cold front coming our way. Yep, our bodies are telling us this. Unfortunately, it's suppose to be raining on Friday evening during Light The Night Harley Ride here. We don't own a Harley, but have gone to the Denny's, across the street from the Harley dealership where it starts, and what all the lighted-up bikes pull out with a police escort. We put it on video. Depending on the weather, we may still stop by Denny's to see if they go. Another "Pit" coming up...........it will be too cold for us to stand outside and watch a local Christmas Boat Parade. Peak: Wife got a prescription cough medicine last night. Good stuff, with codeine in it. Cost $63 w/drug plan. Have had it before and it definitely helps with coughing.
Pit: Pysical therapy killed today! She had me do a ew exercise...hate it! Had to lay my spine on a cut in half roller thingy. My Boney spine hurt ...plus had to balance my body on that and then do backstokes and snow angels...I'm gonna hurt later I think.
Kind of like this but it was a half roll so flat on the bottom and I was working my arms, not my legs. I was basically balanced on my spine.
@Holly Saunders Hope all is going well for you now Chrissy, hope you don, t hurt Taking me a while to type this
Are you still having trouble getting used to the new tablet, @Patsy Faye ? I noticed that I haven’t seen much posted from you about how you are getting along with it, and wondered how you are liking the tablet thus far.
@Yvonne Smith - Thought I'd try it for a while, did my post but got stuck on a couple of things Need to devote more time, but its busier than usual. Yesterday was card writing and delivering here to the apts I'm perplexed now, as I put the tablet on the counter whilst removing my specs, went to retrieve my specs and gone !! Vanished they have Its not unusual here for things to go missing, just hope the Gremlin gives them back to me
Pit yesterday: Got a letter from Kia. It seems there is a defect in our Kia Soul's steering mechanism that can cause serious problems. So will have to take our Soul in and have this defect fixed. Peak is: Having this defect fixed will not cost us a penny in parts or labor.
Peak: Temperature today will be around 80. Pit: We will drop some 22 degrees tomorrow.....Bah Humbug!! This is Florida where it’s suppose to be nice and warm all year long.
