Good evening to you all from a white St.Peter, we have had several snow showers overnight and today. We had a lovely time at the ballet last night, I will post some videos/photos later....... I have been out of it today though because I didn't sleep well last night ............ the snow season has started at last, so we have decided to go on a trip to an old partly restored manor house, it's about a 30 minute train ride and a mile or so walk from here. Enjoy your weekend..... A few paintings from the Spanish 19th century artist Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida
Good Morning. Definitely in the 20's over here this morning. But unlike yesterday with snow and rain...today the sun is shining in all its glory. There's frost all over the grass and roof tops so it still looks like there is snow on the grown and the water in the birdbath and in small puddles left from yesterday have all turned to ice. Later today when the sun thaws out everything my Honey and I will make a short trip to where he works to pick up hot dogs and buns...as he decided he is hungry today for my hot dogs with my home made chili on them and some oven fries...and that sounds just fine with me too. Hope your day is nice in every way.
Posting here, too, for forum members who do not read the whole forum. Our dear friend , Ina I Wonder passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning. There is a thread with more information , and where you can leve condolences, in the “in Memorium” section of the forum.
Rest in peace @Ina I. Wonder. It's a good morning to think of you in Heaven with your husband and your sons...but also a sad morning to know we will all miss your presence here on earth. May God wrap His loving arms around all of us today and bring us His comfort and peace at the earthly loss of our dear friend Ina.
I am happy for Ina that she did not have to long suffer, live in a nursing home, or pass away in a hospital- and with chronic pain. RIP @Ina I. Wonder
It's another very early morning wake up for me but I hate tossing and turning in bed trying to go back to sleep...so up I am. The smell of our coffee brewing is such a good smell this morning to wake all the way up to. Yesterday I baked some chocolate chip, banana nut muffins and I'm going to pop one of those in the microwave for a few moments, spread a little butter on it and enjoy every bite with my cup of coffee this morning. It will be a busy day for me. After I drop my Honey off at work I will head for my youngest daughter's home to babysit my grandson for a few hours. Then when I pick my husband up from work I will drive him around to do his Christmas shopping for his side of our family. And also take him to his favorite store...Lowe's for mulch and a few other things he considers necessities. Whatever you're doing today...may your day be blessed in every way.
Good evening to you all, I have been decorating today in the bathroom here, I also made a dinner out of leftover chicken legs, and some buckwheat with mixed veg and lots of spices, which went down very well Have a good week......
Today we're still without hot water. Called 2 plumbers, one finally called back and said it would be 4 or 5 days before he could get to it. He called another plumber for me and he said he could make it wed. morning. Must be a busy time for plumbers. Bad news made worse. I drug some hose around to the front, cleaned the dirt off and brought the end inside to hook up to the tank to drain it. There was no faucet on the tank. It had been removed and plugged with a pipe cap. Grrrr. How am I going to get 40 gallons of water out of the tank?
Good luck....I'm going to be in the same boat soon enough. Just had a leaky piped replaced and got a quote of $1800 for a new heater. I have to get some more estimates, that one seemed high.
