Thanks @Holly Saunders She is my youngest and the one who looks the most like me...she will be 32 years old on March 19th.
Yes I thought she looked very like you @Babs Hunt , and she also shares a birthday with my little sister.. ...who is the most sensitive one in our family...is your daughter the same?
My youngest daughter is sensitive in some ways...but I would have to say my oldest daughter is the most sensitive of my 3 children because of her insecurities she has developed while going through the challenges of her life.
One more night of freezing temps and then here in Lafayette we will be having warmer days and nights. Hope many of you will get some relief from the cold too. Many of our smaller cities have been having water problems and there are a lot of unhappy people complaining about this. Many of these people who are complaining are the same ones who did not wrap their pipes, and do the other things that the Weather people explained needed to be done with this freezing weather we have been experiencing. And these same people who didn't do what they should have done have caused problems not only for theirselves but for those in their cities who did do the things they were supposed to do. Everyone in the cities are experiencing low water pressure, having to boil their water before drinking it, etc. and for the most part this could have been avoided if people would just do what they were asked to do. If only people would stop to realize that sometimes their actions or non actions affect others and not just them. Today we will have a high of 52 degrees with sunshine. I have been really thankful that I did not have to get out in these days and nights of freezing weather except to bring my Honey back and forth to work a couple of days. He made sure the car was warmed up before I drove him and if we needed anything he always brought it home from the store so I wouldn't have to make a trip to pick up these things. I am blessed with a good husband and I am thankful for him and his thoughtfulness. The flu is really going around in our City so that is another reason I am trying to avoid going out where crowds are too. My Honey's boss' Mom who is 86 caught the flu recently which turned into pneumonia and she has been in the hospital for awhile now but last night we found out she has taken a turn for the worse and Hospice has been called in. We are praying for healing for her, but she told her Doctor and her children that she is tired and is ready to go Home (Heaven) now so whether God brings her earthly healing or heavenly healing I know she is fine with this and my prayers are more that her children will be able to accept whatever happens too. I pray healing and freedom from pain for all of you who need this during the New Year. May your blessings be many and your troubles few and may you all be granted the desires of your hearts during 2018.

When are you going? @Terry Page? Also don't drink the water. Authentic Mexican is very good. I'm not fond of anything with cornmeal or the refried beans but everything else is great! I didn't watch the whole video, when was it made? You do have to be careful if you're a tourist off the beaten path. Ive heard of even college students there on spring break getting kidnapped and killed. But if you've been to India so many times without problem with water etc, I'm sure you'll love Mexico.
Also want to add that I know quite a few Mexicans in California and Ive never met one I didn't like. They are very friendly. I'm not talking about the ones in gangs etc.
Good Morning all... @Babs Hunt , I'm so sorry to hear of your husbands' Boss' mother, poor lady, I hope she's not in pain...it's so scary to get the flu when people are old and already have existing health problems. ..and thank you for your prayers for everyone's good health... Also sorry to hear you're having so any problems with the water over there in Lafayette... I hope that gets sorted soon for you all. It's 5deg C ( 41 deg F) here)...verrrry cold last night so all the cars are iced up, but hopefully all the ice will melt as the day goes on. This morning we had the charity shop come and collect my old bed to sell...we'd dismantled it and tied it all up neatly with all the bolts and screws in a baggie for them to take away with ease, and they really appreciated that. It's a beautiful bed so they'll get a decent amount of money for it for the charity ( British Heart Foundation) It's my wedding anniversary on Tuesday but as hubs will be back to work after the holidays by then and working long hours, we've planned to go somewhere nice for lunch tomorrow with some friends, so I'm looking forward to that.
