Good morning friends It's a frosty beautiful sunny February morning here, and I am getting ready to go and see my friend Laurence in Bristol this morning, an hours drive from here. I have an appointment with my least favourite doctor this evening, but I will be interested in the BP monitor results.

    Have a good week......

Well we still have a ways to go before it's really Spring...but it's nice to be having some almost Spring like weather here and there. :)

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We spent most of ours just relaxing around our home, my husband watching the Olympics and me reading the third book in a series of four by Ted Dekker. The weekend over her was very warm, foggy, and with rain off and on.

This morning it is back to being chilly at 44 degrees and a wind chill that makes it feel like 39 degrees. I am making chicken, sausage, and okra gumbo to warm our tummies today. It's just a good gumbo day. :)

Be blessed in every way today. :)

    G'afternoon all....

It's a Glorious sunny day...finally the winds have dropped...and our skies are as blue as a a Caribbean ocean... but it's still cold . The snow has almost totally melted but there's still some in the part of the garden that doesn't get sun at this time of the year..and my car still has a thin layer of icy snow on it... I took these pictures about an hour ago...

In the shade.. still some snow...

and the lawn out of the shade and in the sun.... 83262385-943d-4960-add7-b623a61652f9_zpsabrbapn8.jpg~original.jpeg

I've got all the windows open wide..even tho' it's cold, but the sun is right overhead and there's some heat in it...so sitting here at my desk by the window I can feel the warmth in it...

Have a good day folks...let's hope that spring is on the way and our gardens can all look lovely again...

Does your grass need mowing in the winter @Holly Saunders?

Mine gets cut every Friday. It probably could go two weeks but my lawn guy comes every week so I guess he figures he might as well.

No from November to around March we don't cut the grass...it only grows a little bit as you can see.. but it does get all mossy and mulchy, so in March we have to rake all the lawns to get the moss out and get it healthy again...every other year we feed it...

I like not having to mow it, but even with the rains we get all winter it doesn't grow enough to do it without chewing into it... and leaving big patches..so I don't like the way it looks in the winter.. I can't wait for the spring so it can be mowed...

We're only allowed to water on saturdays from dec to March and with hardly any rain ours stil grows must be the milder temps I guess.

yep same at our house in Spain ...because it's something like 340 days a year of no rain...although our gardeners do water our plants and trees every day ( we're on a private gated community) ... and the pool gets cleaned once a week in winter and every day in summer...

    Do you have a pool?

No pool for me but almost every other house here has one. I'm glad I don't because upkeep is expensive and I'm not much of a water lover anyway.

We're not allowed to water and in drought years I think there are even laws regarding pools...not sure though.

I guess nobody sees if you water in the back but you will be fined if seen watering when you shouldn't.

Well I'm back from the dr and everything is hunky dory. All my vitals are good/perfect. :)

BP was good, pulse was good, oxygen level was 99 and I lost 5 lbs.

No congestion or anything in lungs etc.

Have to have lab work done...just regular, I was overdue.

Funny how good my vitals are and how bad I felt...all anxiety.

She's getting me a new referral for the psychiatrist. Will follow up on that as soon as I know who it is.
