Just found out that someone we lived across the street from in the 80's has a son in the olympics. We lived along the Fox River right across from the Norge Ski Jump. http://www.chicagotribune.com/subur...ski-jump-olympics-st-0211-20180210-story.html I was good friends with Kathy back then and her husband Steve refinished my kitchen cabinets... His brother lived next door and his parents lived on the street behind them...they were a large family. The youngest daughter was Ellen and I used her to babysit a few times.
That's nice.. ...are you still in touch with his parents. ? he's not doing very well unfortunately ..but at least he's doing his best and his parents must be very proud.. hopefully he'll shine through the more experienced he becomes..
Even back then they were a skier family....but it was his uncle John that I remember the most skiing...we would go and watch him on the Norge Ski jump. We moved away when Kathy just had one small boy but she must have had more because it's been about 30 yrs since we lived there.
No, not in touch anymore. I think it's awesome that he just made it as far as the olympics!! I do see them on FB though and have mutual friends.
Would love to see someone I know from the past on a quiz show, something like that Never happened I've seen meself twice on TV, but it wasn't me - it was a looky like
Haha...I was on TV in the audience of The Bozo Show in Chicago. This was when my daughter was about 4 or 5. Everyone said the camera panned on me a lot. . I was pretty back then, lol. My daughter and SIL won a ticket to the Ellen Show in an auction to raise money for the school. That's about it I think. I'm not impressed by celebrities though so anytime I was near one it was as a favor to someone else. The Bozo show you had to wait 6 yrs to get a ticket and most people signed up when their child was born but I lucked into one...it was given to me.
I've been in the audience of many Tv shows... during my working life in front and behind the camera..
I was on the Howdy Doody showand I met Mickey and Amanda in person. And Captain Kangaroo use to (he was Claria Bell tbe clown back then) drive by our house throwing out candy and peanut packages.Brother was on Mr Rodgers show.....
Do you mean Mr. Rogers? His show was filmed in Pittsburgh, my hometown. If you watched the show then you might remember Handyman Negri...he lived on our street in Pittsburgh. Until someone reminds Ive forgotten all these people, lol. He always gave out the best candy at Halloween.
Dunno but does it count that I once had the hots for Annette Funicello from the Mickey Mouse club when I about 6 years old?
