Our area, the town of Bullhead City (AZ) anyway, has about 40,000 population. In winter, it is estimated that as many as 60,000, or more, live here. Much of the population increase consists of retired couples who drive enormous motorhomes, towing a small vehicle behind for everyday driving about. These folks spend a lot of money while here, living "away from home". At least half of the motorhomes are from Canada. We have seen some from as far away as New Brunswick, and Ontario, but in the main, British Columbia, then Alberta and Saskatchewan are well-represented.

The resultant snowbird migration allows our County to enjoy the lowest cost of living index in the entire State of Arizona. Expressed as a %, ours is 88%, Phoenix 92%, San Benardino (CA) 155%, with CA everywhere exhibiting quite high cost of living indexes.
