When the wind drops the heat from the sun is lovely. Just been out filling up the bird feeding station in the garden......because of the wind, I had to have my beanie hat on, but if the wind would drop we'd have ourselves a perfect day Hope you all have a super weekend...

It is still warm here today, but cloudy and scattered showers. It is supposed to be in the 70’s again today, and there are daffodils and hyacinths blooming out in the yard (and all up and down the streets here in Huntsville). I have my little milk-jug hydroponic lettuce, parsley, and cucumber plants sitting out on the porch, and i left them out overnight because it was so warm last night; but it is supposed to be cooling back down next week; so they will only be out when it is sunny and then back in at night. Next Thursday, I am going out to Seattle with Robin because my oldest grandson is getting married; so we are flying out for the weekend, and home again on the following Monday . I really do not like flying, or the long trips anymore, but I do love the Seattle area, and still miss living out there.
oooh nothing much blooming here yet @Yvonne Smith , but hopefully soon. I wish it was spring and warm weather and beautiful flowers. How far is Seattle from you?...I still love to fly , but I hate the horrendous queues at the airport.. how long will you be staying?...will you get a chance to visit some old haunts?
Good evening from St.Peter where the sun is still shining after a good day out and about. The tram ride of around 40 minutes was from the industrial suburbs towards the city centre, we stopped off at a cafe which translated is called "Plasticine" which all it's decor resembles, even the butter pats are made to look like it. We had pumpkin soup with walnuts and pine nuts served with warm bread rolls and butter.......Here is a video of part of the trip and a few photos...
It is clear across the US from where we live now, and about 2500 miles away; so it will take most of a day to travel each way. We leave here on Thursday, spend the weekend in the Seattle area, and fly back home on Monday. The wedding will take up all of Saturday, so that only leaves time to visit with other relatives in the area, and that is about all we will be able to do. I love seeing Mt. Rainier from the airplane when we get close to Seattle, and just the whole area . Since I lived in Western Washington for many years, it always feels like coming back to a place I love when we go there, and I am looking forward to that part of the trip. Because Robin flies a lot for her work, she has that pass which bypasses a lot of the long lines. since I am traveling with her, I don’t have to stand in the long line either, and that helps a lot. We are flying out of Huntsville, which is a smaller airport, so the lines here should not be as bad as from one of the really large airports.
Hey, Yvonne Smith........just talked to a lady, from Alabama, that lives in our complex here in Jacksonville, FL. She 100% loves Jacksonville and Florida.
Mornin' Folkies... It's another glorious sunny morning, but verrrry cold with a cold wind... 38F... we're forecast to get the 'beast from the East' as they've nicknamed it for the next 2 weeks, of freezing Snow and icy weather...not looking forward to that at all...people are already stocking up here with food, and kindling for log fires in case they can't get out, we have quite a few old people here who no longer drive. Thank goodness for supermarket deliveries these days... Have a good Sunday everyone...
