One of several pictures of robins I got in the garden yesterday...or it might have been the same one lol
Good morning on yet another sunny day here and a tad warmer as well, we enjoyed our outing to the art exhibition yesterday, it's housed in an old mansion which is now the "Faberge" museum. I will post some pics I took below. Lisa has to go to a panel meeting at the university later today so there are no plans to go anywhere, tomorrow we go to Pushkin to look out the deserted town. Have a great weekend........
It was a 30 minute walk to the French art exhibition which was along the frozen river Fontanka, there was a steady stream walking along the river along a well worn path, I was going to give it a try but to get down to the water level where we were involved a 2 foot jump so I opted out Here are a few pics of it..... The entrance to the exhibition....
Morning all...from a still Snowy , Windy and very cold UK... The snow is still thick on the ground, and hubs has succumbed to the Flu and is in bed, feeling like death... Great photos @Terry Page here's some more from around here... Have a good day everyone...and @Yvonne Smith , hope your flight went well and you're having a lovely time in Seattle...
Sunny but a bit nippy here in my part of Texas. Suppose to be 68 around 4pm. Set some of my plants outside on patio so they can get more sunshine today- will bring them in before dark. Have a Happy Friday
We had a good trip, but an all day flying trip, which is very tiring, even though we were mostly sitting. Then there is a 2 hour time change, so we were feeling like midnight when we went to bed, which was actually a little after 10 out here last night. The weather is in the 40’s today and overcast but some sunshine, so overall, good weather. Your robins look a loot chubbier than the ones that we see over here, @Holly Saunders . They are much cuter, too ! I saw on the weather that they have named your storm (Irma ?) so it must be a bad one. Hoping it goes away soon, and you and @Patsy Faye will not have such winters weather.
Pleased to hear you had a good flight Yvonne, the travelling is the worst though, hopefully you can relax tomorrow The weather has been just awful, so many accidents because of the ice We haven't ventured out but will soon need to, it doesn't look promising for tomorrow ............... @Yvonne Smith
Glad you're safely there @Yvonne Smith , yes all day travelling really wears you out especially with a time difference we have the same problem when flying overseas. I've not heard this snow storm we've got being called 'irma' so far it's just been the Beast from the East'... but thanks for your best wishes, and the moment it's snowing really heavily... yes someone else in NC sent me a picture of your Robins over there, and yes I agree they're quite a bit different, they look more like our kingfishers..
You need to be safe out there if you have to travel in the storm, @Patsy Faye ; so I am sending you some better transportation for going out in the snowstorm.....
Everyone I'm hoping its gonna be a ...................................... Rain is forecast for today - YAY
