Philosophy in general is the exploration of life itself and most of the time it explains how it can be bettered.
Each and every one of us has heard an "old wives" saying or a catchy phrase that we cling onto in order that we may be reminded of how best to react in a given situation.

A couple of mine are somewhat comical but do have some validity if we look closely.
    1. The grass is greener on the other side of the fence but it is also harder to mow.
My take: Greater progress takes greater work so be happy with what you have or work harder.

    2. It is the early bird that catches the worm but it's the early worm that gets caught.
My take: The greatest excuse for rolling over in bed for a few more minutes sleep.

So, what do ya think? Is there some bit of philosophical whit or wisdom that should be imparted and possibly explored more closely?

When someone offers a penny for my thoughts they never give me the damn penny. Same thing when I put in my two cents worth.

Some old jewels tumbling out there above but I sit here thoughtless; I'll have to come back to this, for the drums beat slowly.

Some things are just common sense...

"You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can't Tuna Fish"

“I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.”

There is something to be said for being a mere Piss Ant in the business world vs striving to President.

And.. the bigger the progress, the bigger the problems

    On traveling or setting goals:
Aesop said: Slow and Easy does the trick.

BUT, according to Zeno as ensampled by one of his paradoxes, (paraphrased) if one travels only half the distance whilst going from point A to point B, and then travels half distances each time after that, one will be traveling for an infinite amount of time and never get where he or she is going.

@Bobby Cole - that's a bit like when people 'go around the houses' when relaying an event

I say - 'fewer words and ye shall get to the point - quicker' ...... ...........:p
