We are watching the weather reporting this evening, and there has been storms and hail most of the day in some part of Alabama.
The main part of the storm ha not reached Huntsville yet, but it is just west of us right now and headed our way. They are saying on the weather news that thy think that there was a tornado north of us near the Tennessee border; but they can’t tell for sure until they have better reports coming in.
We have all the mobile devices charged up, and powerbanks charged just in case we lose electricity for very long. We do have a solar panel that we can use if there are severe tornados like we had in 2011.
I will keep everyone updated on how we are doing. Most storms seem to miss the arsenal, and we are just outside of the arsenal gate.

I guess we might be about a month ahead of you here in Kentucky... but yes it is definitely getting into peak tornado season. Nearly 65 yesterday and expect 3~5 inches of snow tomorrow night. Ain't the seasonal change just lovely?

We probably won’t get snow, although we definitely could get some. It is supposed to be down to around 30 the next few nights, and if we get precipitation , it could well be as snow.
So far, this storm has split and part is noth of us, and the other part is south of us. We are barely getting any rain or wind right now. They had another tornado reported, this one in the storm that is south of us.
It looks lie we will have part of the storm coming over us before long, but the worst should miss us.
Starting to really POUR here now !

I've seen that size and bigger, but even smaller size of that variety means calling the insurance and getting an adjuster scheduled.

Good luck to those of you in tornado and storm zones. Hopefully it won't be a bad season.

We definitely needed the rain, but not downpours that don't soak in. The lightning yesterday, just before dawn, was pretty bad. At 7AM, took wife to her doctor's office for labs and the sky lite up with bolts going sideways. Looked pretty cool, but still scary.

Getting very tired of the "up and down" of daytime temps. In a week and a half will be going into April and average monthly temp of 80 degrees. If the darn Florida humidity wasn't so high, 80 degrees would be very, very nice. Sure do look forward to moving away from this "humid" State!

They are not saying anything really bad happened last night, although they did report that there was at least 2 tornadoes that touched down, and there was pictures on the tv coverage that showed downed trees north of us, and some roof and sign damage. South of us (the Cullman area that @Harry Havens mentioned) had the bad hail and also a second tornado touched down in that area somewhere.
We barely had any rain or lightning, and no hail or bad wind either, which is good (from our viewpoint). Huntsville , at least the part where we live, seemsto be out of the usual windpath, and most of the storms do seem to go around us here. When we had the bad tornadoes that blew our roof off in 2011, we lived in a different part of this area and we were more in the pathway that the storms seem to take.
Now , we have a couple days of cold weather, but then we should work our way back into the nice springtime weather.

We are supposed to have thunderstorms again this weekend, and they said that tornadoes are possible. Since we are into the tornado season now, this is something that has to be a concern each time we have weather changes and thunderstorms.
However, I just got an alert that they are having tornado drills on Redstone Arsenal, so they must be thinking that there is a significant chance that there might actually be tornadoes.
I guess we will see as we get closer into the weekend and the arrival of the storms. By then, the weather experts might have changed their minds completely.
