    Just found this place! Many may know me as 12vman or OffGridKindaGuy..

    I live totally off the power grid and have been for over 20+ yrs. Used to be active at Backwoods Home and still a mod over there..

    I'll find the bathrooms and the ash trays.. All is good!!

    Welcome to the forum! I'm actually a member of that forum but don't post. Joined it many many years ago when a group of us from another forum that closed went there.

    Just to continue the political arguments.:)

    This was proabbaly around 9-10 years ago...maybe more because Bush was the president at the time.:)

    How long were you a mod on there?

    My memory of the forum was all our arguments with one very liberal guy but can't remember his name.

    I was friends with Jean Souza and Johnny Pine, although he was on the other team,lol.

    My username May be Dandelion but I'm not sure. :)

    Welcome to the forum, @Don Abel , and it is good to have you here. I am a north Idaho transplant now living in Alabama, so I have lived in the country for a large part of my life, but only off-grid for a couple of years.
    Looking forward to some of your off-grid stories and wisdom.

    Thanks, Everyone!.. Yes, I'm in Ohio a little South of Canton..

    Chrissy.. Yeah, that was a bad period for Backwoods Home.. Silverado I believe is the person that you refer to..
    I became a mod after the reconstruction of the site was finished. Oliver was against the idea at first but soon realized that more eyes on deck was very helpful. I'm the die hard left. Everyone, including Oliver, is gone..

    I lived in the Hoosier state also for awhile and next to the buckeye state also. My ex still lives there.
