Most hard working Britons were working and not in the streets so who you seen were the unemployable, the freaks, and people paid to be there. If they ever get the hard working Britons out they could drown that group in their urine. If they do show up the media will not be there. .
Very true and it does leave an awful lot of room for a sort of political expressionism. Someone with a good solid foundation of the queen’s English backed with a good vocabulary and a few courses in legalese under their belt, can do a lot of damage.
Of all the people here, @Bobby Cole , you would be the last I would fault for your grasp of English, Queen's or otherwise.

I voted Brexit and have always believed there would be no deal. I have never accepted that the EU were interested in even considering a deal, and I believe we will leave without one. Theresa May is a remainer and should never have been in charge of Brexit, but having said that she has still managed to keep Tony Blair and the other anti-Britons from forcing Britain to remain under the EU thumb forever to ensure MSP's platignum-plated pensions. Much of the " news "around Brexit is propaganda . Britain will leave without a deal as a consequence not of Theresa May's bumblingincompetance ( though it has been massive ) but as a consequence of all the opposing anti-Brexiteers continual interference and delaying tactics. p.s. Latin has never been the spoken language of Britain .It was only ever spoken in Monastrys. Three quarters of Britain speak English and Gaelic , but while English has been " latinised " to a certain degree, the language itself is mostly restricted to the legal system .Whether in Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, or Wales, many communities have their own languages unique to their place of birth, and even Towns can have their own dialect with unique interpretations, In the Scottish Borders town of Hawick , for example, the local language is "Teri". It is significant also that there is a misunderstanding regarding the influence of Romans and other would be invaders of Great Britain. The Romans, for example, never invaded Scotland, it was a no-go area even for Caesar.
Living in the North East of England it is amazing that Sunderland, (home of Nisan) voted to leave the EU. Investment we have received over the years from the EU is staggering. As far as Government is concerned we don't exist. When we Brexit every penny of investment will be channelled into the South East. My opinion is that the public voted to leave in desperation, hoping for better times but to be ruled exclusively by the Westminster w------ fills me with fear and glad that I'm 85. I moved up from the South leaving my family locked down in the hell hole of high prices and most of their lives travelling to work and back.
While I have little or nothing to add to this thread, I have enjoyed it. Britain's politics are of interest to people in the United States but we don't necessarily understand it.
Well, the Brexit proposal has failed, and the May government may be in danger, although most do not think it will go down. What do those of you across the pond think about this? Will there be another referendum? Do you just need a better negotiator? It seems that the EU is an addictive situation that a nation can't get out of. I think if the U.S., Canada, and Britain formed a union of their own, all would be well.
I think it bears a lot of similarity. Maybe the Brits know too much of the business that goes on "behind the curtain..."
Okay, I have yet another question. The EU uses the Euro as it’s monetary medium but does each country in the EU have to recognize the Euro? I mean, the British still use the pound even though it’s part of the EU so does that mean that all the countries involved with the EU use their own monetary system plus the Euro or have some of them decided to strictly use the “one world money” instead of what they had? My brother spends his time between Holland and Germany and I rarely if ever hear him speak of the Guilder or Mark. It’s always Euro’s. I could look it up but I thought it might be an interesting ingredient to this thread.
The UK and Denmark have opted out of ever using the Euro, but there are 9 EU countries who don't use the Euro at all Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Czech republic , Poland , and a couple more, can't remember which ones.. The rest use the Euro exclusively, after changing over from their former monetary system In Spain the older people still can't get their heads around the Euro, so in the markets the prices are stated as Euros and Pesetas (albeit only Euros are used)
That's how I feel Don - the Government will continue - there's no alternative but - we need a new leader so I can only hope that happens. Bobby - not sure on the answer, if Brits go to Euro countries, of course they have to use the Euro and trade would be in Euro currency. All I do know is, those countries that took up the Euro are in a very sorry state having to use it.
