Unfortunately, not here. The lady that was killed on Friday here at McDonalds was shot by a heavy set black dude. Witnesses seen him leave the scene. Yesterday, on the west side of Jacksonville, a 7 year old white girl was sitting in a car, with her dad, and was killed by crossfire of blacks shooting at each other. Law enforcement put a picture of two young black guys rushing up to a car with handguns in their hands. The Mayor of Jacksonville stated that he getting tired of all the killings in his city. And, just read that shooting/killings continue this weekend in Chicago.
Well, a murder is a murder. Anyone ever watched the showed 48 Hours on tv. Among a few different cities, it shows all the black murders in Miami and Cleveland.
Yes, there are lots of black murders especially in the inner cities, I'm not denying that. Gangs/drugs/poverty and a bunch of other reasons. And of course I don't want to live there.
While I won't deny that most of the people who are labeled serial killers are white men, since that seems to be what the statistics say, I wonder if there aren't gang members who kill "multiple people, often with no apparent motive, following a characteristic, predictable behavior pattern," which is the definition of a serial killer but who are not considered such because they consider being in a gang to be a motive. If we didn't exclude this subset of people who would otherwise fit the definition, I wonder if we'd get different results. Those who decide who to include and who to exclude would probably consider the drugs and other things that gang members are into as being a motive, but the definition doesn't exclude others who have motives. A large percentage of acknowledged serial killers have motives too, largely related to sex or hatred for certain types of people, such as prostitutes. I am pretty sure that everyone has a motive, only not everyone's motives make sense to anyone else. While there are white gangs as well, the majority of the violent gangs, in this country at least, are primarily one ethnicity or another.
The area that I live in is quite diverse and seems to be in line with the demographics of the city. I have no concerns over the race of my neighbors but as I get older I have concerns over behavior. At some point, I'm afraid that I'm going to have to move into an old folks complex to insulate me from some of the younger folks that simply live a different lifestyle and keep different hours.
Anyone who suggests that there is more of one race over another who commit crimes is race-baiting. It would be best if we all abandon the subject Hal

It just seems to be...all the news articles show skinny ugly white people on meth, plus it's their meth labs that get blown up....
@Frank, I KNEW ALL ALONG that there are far more Blacks and Hispanics in prisons than other races, but I'm ignoring it, because there is nothing that can be done to "balance" the prison population! Hal
@Hal Pollner Sure there is! Encourage more white criminal activity, encourage more police scrutiny of white criminal activity, encourage more police leniency aimed at minority criminal activity. Frank
