"Nice instrumental Hip Hop music "Park Bench" by Gunnar Olsen. It's cool Hip Hop music to listen to".
In the olden days, whenever I would get a provincial stint for a few days, my husband would accompany me. And while I was working in our bank's branch, the park would be the usual haunt of my husband. It's just sad that there was no digital camera yet at that time for I'm sure there would be so many interesting pictures to share. But anyway, one noteworthy anecdote of my husband was the park in Bacolod City, the capital of Negros province. He was seated on the park bench when a woman came and offered him a pedicure - cleaning the toenails and applying nail polish. For a few pesos, my husband relented. You can imagine my surprise when I went back to the hotel in the evening, huh.
"Little bits of a lot of 'em. Kevin White (mayor from 1968-1984) probably had the best administration and smartest talent. Ray Flynn (mayor from 1984-1993) had a good neighborhood operation. James Michael Curley (who served four terms from 1914 to 1950), scoundrel that he might have been -- he took care of the most vulnerable of society. They all had a niche, those three, they are my predecessors," said Menino. (Boston Mayor)
