Mornin' Peoples... It's Sunny and warm in the sun, but a little breezy .. temps are down by 1/2 of what they were last week. I had to have a cardigan on last night because it got so chilly . yesterday we spent all day laying the new marine wood floor in the new Barn... .. lots of work, but it looks good now!! Had heavy rain last night.. and more rain forecast for tomorrow... so hubs is out there mowing the lawns and then afterwards we have to go and drop stuff off at the charity shop, then to the DIY store to get some floor varnish and a scarifier , the weekly grocery shopping and then a late pub lunch... Hopefully everywhere will be quiet because it's a holiday weekend and most folks have gone away Have a good weekend everybody
Good evening all I spent this morning walking around Worcester Giraffe spotting, it'a an arts trail called "Worcester Stands Tall" hence the giraffe statues, there are 30 adults and 27 foals dotted around the town, and various projects and stuff for children plus even an app for your iPhone They will eventually be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to a local hospice. Each one is created by a local artist. www.worcesterstandstall.co.uk/ Here are a few photos I took.
Good morning! Decent week weatherwise, only in the 90's all week..yay! Ive been going thru all my papers and am throwing out lots of stuff I don't even know why I saved. Since my purge last week of TV and ADT security and no longer having my share of my car payment...I decided to use some of that saved money on cleaning once a month ...so I'm getting ready for the cleaners to come Wednesday afternoon. First time is more expensive and is a deep clean and thats what I really needed. This last year everything overwhelmed me and now I'm starting to get back in control. If you walked into my house you'd think it was neat and clean but I KNOW it's not. Even the owner who came out Saturday to give me an estimate said my house looked clean, lol Anyway, it's Monday so it's back to Curves... I have a bone density test Wednesday morning and a dr appt Thursday morning so it's a anxious week for me with my health triggered anxiety issues but I'm working on those also. I seem to be happier these days, probably because my favorite seasons and holidays are coming...I'm so done with summer...unfortunately we don't really have fall just more summer but not in the 100's at least....80's and 90's. @Cody Fousnaugh ...read about that shooting in Jacksonville yesterday...bet that makes you want to leave even more.... Although that was another suicide type killer that can happen anywhere....and sadly does, PS. I only let on a little on here how unhappy Ive been but truth is Ive had the lowest year of my life Except for when my husband died. I felt totally overwhelmed, scared, anxious and could cry every day....I'm slowly coming out of it ...I HOPE! I feel going to Curves was the start of my slowly coming out of it. Although I hate exercise I look forward to going there. What I need to work on is my health anxiety...still an issue but not as bad as it was.
Afternoon all... been to the dentist today..*ugh* had to have an X-ray ... still really sore where she poked around.. Warm , muggy type of day.... bought myself a new summer jacket today, black and white pinstripe with 3/4 sleeves. Hope you're all having a good day..
Very proud of you, making some changes ! Be sure and keep in touch, do not abandon us- or me. Worrying about your health everyday is a burden, continue to direct your attention on other things. because your alive and well today!
Excellent @Ken Anderson thanks for those bee and wasp descriptions. We get many kinds around here ..not so much in our garden but we are surrounded by fields, so eating in the pub garden this summer has been a nightmare where wasps are concerned. Bumble bees and honey bees we get for the flowers in the garden .. Now I know which ones to really avoid!!
34 F. this morning, so frost is near and winter will be here soon. We didn't heat the greenhouses last night, so I am glad it didn't frost. Tonight we will see if it is cloudy. Wife is busy with State Fair stuff, and was gone yesterday with the grandkids "helping" her while I stayed home and helped the plumber replace our well pressure tank. The tank was 42 years old and still working, but it was rusting near the bottom and in danger of leaking--the outlet was already leaking--and I wanted to get it taken care of so my spouse wouldn't have that to worry about should I pass on. Today I will accompany her to the Fair to look around while she works. We attended a Three Dog Night concert at the Fair on Sunday evening in the pouring rain. What can I say...they were my wife's favorite group in high school. Good morning to everyone on this wonderful day!
WOW ! That is cold weather, and meanwhile , some of us are sweltering in 90+ degree heat. It says we might get rain this afternoon, but I am watering the yard anyway, just in case. It looks iffy, and I don’t see much for clouds near us on the radar. My daughter is on a week vacation in Baja California (Mexico), and the pictures she has been sharing are amazing ! She and I both just love the ocean, and I really enjoy seeing the pictures that she posts when she is on a trip like this.
