Shirley ..............Glad you are OK for the most.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My guest has left (at last) and everything went OK while she was here.. Her husband called only once during the week and never asked how she was.. He tried to be verbally abusive to he on the phone so she let him have it and hung up the phone on him.. He just doesn't care about anything in the world but him.. I think it is her problem to straighten out her life from now on.. They have been married for over 45 years and it is her decision how she will live her life.. We tried and I hope some good came out of the week she was here..
Today has offered us a glimpse of the wonderful fall days ahead. The air is so clear, the sun is shining between scattered clouds, the air feels lighter. Ahhhhh!

Neither do I. In fact, I love winter. But then, I am not surrounded by mountains of snow, either. Steve, do you have your snow flowers ready to plant?
No Shirley, its just a bit to early for that however the seeds are ready as soon as the weather drops down below 0 (zero)c.. Actually on the 28th, 29th, and 30th we are having a Walleye fishing tournament here in Massey.. Now that brings in loads of $$$ as there will be about 75 contestants in the tournament.. Our village will be booming once more..
C'mon now Shirley.. its still fishing season up here.. Walleye, Musky, and Bass tournaments are still to come.. The ice should be here by about the last week in November...………….. maybe.... However, lately it has almost been cold enough to start the water freezing.. Below freezing almost every night.. I have the heat on in the house during the night, otherwise it is around the 55f mark in the morning..
I just decided to put the electric blanket on the bed.... The heat has been on in the house for the past week.. I have the demand at 70f just to keep it warm and take the dampness out.. tonight the low will be -1c.... Now that's getting cool for this time of the year..
We have a long way to go before I have to turn my heat on...…………. I hope. October is usually chilly at night but with nice warm days.
Today I worked around the house putting away the summer items.. Flower pots, ornaments, deck chairs, patio furniture, garden hoses, fire pit chairs, and many more items.. No longer need them this year..
