Pit or peak? I'm not sure. Depends on how you look at it. I'm having my old kitchen demounted and the floor newly tiled. That might be the pit because of all the hassle. The peak being that I managed to choose and buy a new superdooper kitchen, back in hot August taking me three sessions with the seller, which is going to be delivered and mounted in about two weeks' time. Meanwhile I'll be living on a "building site", i.e. without a kitchen. So I'll have to try out all the restaurants in my vicinity which I haven't been to as well as feed myself off the larder.
Heading to the airport for our trip to Chicago. Should be fun, even if our team doesn't do well. "Bring me a slice of Chicago Pizza, my good man..."
Whew, so glad that the new flooring is in apartment. Had I known dust would be in and on everything, would have prepared better. Very tiring on the clean up and painful..but Aleve to the rescue. So me Pit is now a Peak
Good for you @Gloria Mitchell , hope all of it doesn't take too muuch to clean. I remember when I had all my new flooring put down, what a mess... Safe trip @Tim Burr No peak so far... but Pit is that we have Storm Callum... no rain but the wind is really, really strong, thank goodness the house is made of brick, just hoping the new barn we built in the summer stands up to it.. it will be a real test of our hard work
Thanks Gloria.. obviously the storms aren't as bad as the USA or Spain currently.. but not fun, and I';m staying in because the branches blow down onto cars everywhere here , so it's risky on the roads...
....the power of which the guests attending Princess Eugenie's wedding at Windsor Castle also felt because the wind was not very hat-friendly. Hats and tickets got blown by the wind...
yes..and they were protected by 30 feet brick walls, so you can imagine how strong the winds were outside in Common street....
Peak: Great trip to Chicago. Top of the list was meeting some real nice people from other watch groups. - Deep dish pizza and Chicago Dogs. Best was the Chicago Architecture River cruise. Pit: My football team lost the game in overtime, but we were treated great by the home fans.
I did that cruise too @Tim Burr when I was in Chicago for a long weekend with my son and DIL and grandsons about 2-3 yrs ago. Also the deep dish pizza! Yum!
Not Tim @Holly Saunders but I think it's about a 7 hr drive if I remember correctly where Tim lives. I may be off some but not by much.
