While sitting here, eating one of Dave's famous Blueberry muffins with my coffee....and listening to "Blue Hawaii" and "Blue Christmas".....I started to wonder if Elvis ever recorded "Blueberry Muffin"??? "I'lllll have a blueberry muffin....for Christmas"! I couldn't find it.....but I did find his version of "Blueberry Hill", that I had never heard before!
@Joe Riley , It is hard to believe that you never heard Elvis sing Blueberry Hill. I liked his voice like so many others did, but I admit to not caring for him visually. I'm sorry ladies, but I've never cared for what I call pretty boys. Clint Walker was more my style.
Ina, my Brother was a fan of Fats Domino, and his version of BB Hill was all I remember hearing. As far as I know, Clint Walker is still alive at the age of 88!
@Lara Moss , Gary Bussey (?) has been his own worst enemy, and he is way past rugged looking. You would think someone would give the guy a visual reality check for his own good. Now Robert Redford and Steve McQueen got better looking as they aged. I have always wondered why the Creator made it so that men age better than women generally.
@Ina I. Wonder The roughed up guy in the hawaiian shirt is Nick Nolte getting a mug shot at the jail after a DUI he got….and I posted it just for laughs . He wasn't a bad looking guy…just had a really bad night and his mug shot was the butt of many jokes for awhile, but it happened years ago. I know what you mean about the inequality of aging but it seems that, and I'm being very general, with every generation, women are maintaining their beauty longer and longer and are more fit than previous generations…thus the phrase "60 is the new 40". Men are also improving but at a slower pace than women, generally speaking.
Oooops, I'm terrible with names, titles, even my favorite authors. Now if they had numbers that would a lot easier, althought I do prefer names. I know it sound weird, but I actually became more comfortable in social settings as I grew older. When I was young, women acted like being pretty was something I chose to do just to be mean, and men, well you know that story too. Now when someone interacts with me, I feel they are seeing and hearing me. Now, I don't want to scare little children or myself, but I do like container I'm in much better. Oh, I tried some of the decaff coffee, two different ones, and they're yucky.
