After nearly 2 years of D. Trump’s presidency, I am still coming across a lot of people who have completely lost it when it comes to the Trump inheritance.

They believe that he wouldn’t be as rich as he is today if it had not been for his inheritance. Now, it’s a given that he did indeed start with a goodly amount of cash and credit whether it was a million as he has said or ten million as others have alluded but still, he’s a billionaire many times over now and not a millionaire.

There doesn’t seem to be much difference between a billion and a million when someone just allows the words to flow out of their mouth. How hard can it be to turn a million into a billion for after all, there’s just three zeros that make the difference! Three. That’s it!
It should be as easy as say, turning a hundred into a thousand or a thousand into ten thousand or.......is it?

If I may, I’d like to provide some perspective to the difference between the numbers.
A hundred thousand seconds = about 1 day, 3 hours and 46 minutes.
    A million seconds = about 11 1/2 days.
    A billion seconds = about 31 3/4 years
    A trillion seconds = 31,710 years.

The odds that a millionaire could make it to being a billionaire are pretty high and as a matter of some pretty loose math, maybe 1 in 2 million millionaires will even come close to being a billionaire. It’s about as difficult and improbable as turning $10,000 or even $100,00 into a million. It just doesn’t legally happen that often and when it does, the person who orchestrated the increase deserves every cent.

So, why the hubbub about Trump’s inheritance? Viewing the numbers and the possibilities, Trump has done a pretty good piece of work and in a relatively short period of time to become the multi-billionaire that he is.

People are strange, we like to tear down the mighty and then applaud the comeback.

I think that he has done well but I don't think we will ever know the real numbers, Trump is too much of a showman like P.T. Barnum to stick to the facts.

I've noticed in many of his personal business deals he likes to structure the deal using other peoples money to get control of a property, get his name on the building, and then actually retain/own a much smaller holding than he indicates to the world.

Trump will keep the writers and movie producers busy for years to come by trying to make sense of the actual facts of his life. I actually hope that they never succeed, Trump the illusion/mystery is much more interesting than Trump the reality could ever be.
