First, he did have it somewhat rough with some of the media/reports that were there. A black lady asked him about being a Nationalist and she related that to him being a racist. He pretty much came "unglued" and told her she asked a very racist question and that he got along very well with African-Americans. Another reporter, from CNN, kept pushing on him about the immigrant caravan. Trump got tired of it and told the guy to sit down, which he wouldn't do. He kept interrupting Trump, about the caravan, even while Trump was trying to take a question from another reporter. Finally, a lady came over and took the mic from the reporter. Trump called him "rude", which he totally was and said that CNN should get rid of him. Disrespecting the President of the United States??? When the President tells a person to "sit down"...…..that person should "sit down" and shut-up. Trump doesn't take crap and, being the President of the United States, he absolutely shouldn't have to!!
I don't know why some of those reporters don't have their press passes pulled. Seems they're sending hecklers in as reporters.
Come to find out, this CNN reporter has had previous run-ins with the President. The White House Press Secretary was involved in this run-in and got pushed...…….something nobody does to the President's Press Secretary! Anyway, this Press Secretary felt the same way about the reporter as Trump did, but CNN completely backs what the reporter did. CNN calls the President "unAmerican". Gee, should we do away with CNN?
That would be fine. I don't watch it anyway. there is a reason that it is always the lowest-rated of the news networks now.
The media should be respectful to the POTUS or at least to the office of the President but I also believe that Trump needs to learn not to take the bait. I think it is becoming a sort of a game to goad the President into flying off the handle so some reporters have a fresh sound bite for the evening news or a new meme for the internet.
Problem is, no matter what President Trump say, he keeps getting needled. He made some statement about having and not having Press Meetings and said something like this "I can't win. Media wants Press Meetings, but when I do them, I get blistered for doing them just like when I don't do them."
I voted for Trump but in my opinion neither Trump or the reporter came off looking good.... Not professional! Nobody wants to watch that.
Unfortunately, Trump had to get the way he did, because this dude wouldn't set down and shut-up as the President of the United Stated asked him to (politely at first), then demanding. What the heck was Trump suppose to do? Myself, I would have loved to see the reporter taken out in handcuffs. But, that's me.
He could have just let it go and let someone else handle it...I'm sure there are people there for that.
Yes, the WH Press Secretary tried to take the mic away from the guy and the guy wouldn't let her have it. Apparently he pushed her away a little. Just can't do that to the WH Press Secretary, especially with the President standing right there.
