I danced with several ladies and young staff members here this afternoon and did it with out my walker. Wasn't very pretty but at least I didn't fall on my butt. Tango. Rhumba, Cha Cha. Fox Trot Boogie. I can do em all and did not too long ago. My PT sessions have paid off because my balance is much improved. Good exercise for this old goat.
@Lon Tanner You are very lucky! Being unable to dance has been a rather sore point with the ladies I have known. Only dancing I do well is technical "dancing" in a conversation of eggheads! Frank
Wife and I took Ballroom Dancing lessons years ago, now when we go to dances at our Senior Citizens Club, we can do the Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Tango, and Swing. The Waltz is our favorite. Hal
As for me, I'd rather eat than dance. But lucky me, I've found I could do both. There's this little club on the shady side of town that has a large dance floor and they serve short orders and a good chicken fry. I can have my cake and eat it too.
I'd love to dance as well as eat..In my younger years I would have chosen the dancing over eating any day, but now there's nowhere for me to dance, and my husband would never dance, even at wedding s..so I dance no more
Our niece said to my wife, before we got engaged and after seeing us do a two-step together, "he's a keeper". Yes, I could country dance (no line dancing though) and was a pretty darn good Plus 1 square dancer as well. Just another reason for us to leave here...…..no country dancing or square dancing at all. Wife and I are still asking each other "how in the heck did we wind up here???"
How DID you end up there Cody?...I can't remember you ever telling us the reason for you relocating to Florida.
