Enjoy the movies @Babs Hunt ...Ive been binge watching Christmas movies also...most are a little hokey and predictable but I still love them! Nothing like a feel good movie at Christmas Glad the little ones are better.
I won't @Holly Saunders ...most of it involves sitting on aircraft and being fed plus a glass or two of beer, easier than being home at times
Good morning! High of 60 today but dense fog in the morning. No plans today except for maybe a quick trip to Trader Joe's. Have a great day!
Good Morning, folks! Had a home-made Bloody Mary with home-made pancakes this morning for breakfast. YUM!! Also, heavy rain this morning, up until it just quit at 10AM. Have to go to Ultra Beauty Supplies and get the Skin Tightening Kit my wife wants. It has a small tube of eyelid tightening serum, that I can try on my left eyelid to see if that helps get rid of the black vertical arcs I sometimes see in my vision. After that, it's back home to watch the last part of Round 3 we recorded of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo that is in Las Vegas right now. Other than watching this recorded rodeo, it's NFL Sunday, so...……...you know what that means for us (watching some games).
@Cody Fousnaugh are you sure eye lift isnt covered by insurance...Ive heard that if it's not for cosmetic reasons and affects your vision it's covered. I'm sure you don't want more surgery but I really don't think any cream would work...if it did plastic surgeons wouldn't be doing so many surgerys. Maybe if it's very very minor but I have no faith in any over OTC cream. Good luck though. Forgot to add that my sisters mother in law had an eye lift and it was covered by insurance because it wasn't for cosmetic reasons. I don't know the details and this was many years ago.
Afternoon... all... it's past 4pm here, freezin' cold and just getting dark. There's supposed to be a hard frost overnight, poor hubs having to get up at 5.30am for that.. Anyway, not much to report, o/h and I have been having fun doing some mathematical and classical music quizzes.. it always makes me laugh because I can beat him every time, I had very limited schooling (had to leave in what I think Americans' call the 9th grade).. whereas he had a full education , ...so it's hysterically funny when I beat him .. It's been a fun day..took my mind off my aches for a while Daughter informs me that my Christmas present this year will be arriving from the USA, and should get here sometime this week...I have no idea what it is, so I'll have to try and be good and not open it until Christmas day...
Well, it could be worth a try, but Medicare and Florida Blue (our supplement) wouldn't cover cosmetic stuff bought at a store. It would have to be something prescribed by PCP or the surgeon and neither will do that. They seem to think that the problem will go away with time, but I'm on a forum called Patient, where some have told me they have the same problem and it hasn't gone away after 6 months.
I would give it some time....a few months and if it still persists and affects your vision I'd talk to my dr and insurance again. Things do take time...
Good afternoon on the day after the party, an evening filled with laughter, dancing and tears, I don't usually dance much at all, but I did last night and enjoyed it. I will now bore you with lots of photos Before it all started the band setting up.. Well under way now with up to 100 people Cathy in normal clothes for the first half....... Caroline at Mike's bar Cathy changed into her wedding dress for the second half..... Cathy with her son Elliot Caroline's daughter Elizabeth jumping into the picture .. A budding musician ....
With my daughters and Linda in the middle Linda a friend of Caroline's my favourite hugger... The last dance at midnight The video Meanwhile on the street outside at midnight..... The venue The Guildhall Towards the centre Towards the cathedral
Beautiful pictures Terry, but I hope I don't offend you when I say I thought Cathys' husband was perhaps her father -in- law, until I saw the last dance video..you look younger than HIM...
Funny you should say that Holly, in the photograph below which was taken a few years ago when Cathy was in her late 30's I did say, not to Mike that it could be father and daughter
It's 39 degrees this morning over here with a high of 52 today. Lots of sunshine is predicted though so it will be a very nice but cold day here. Yesterday I got in the cooking mood again and made chili with beans, chili without beans for hot dogs, and my yummy chicken vegetable soup. This morning I have pork sirloin steaks and gravy cooking in the crock pot and a pot of spaghetti sauce cooking on to the stove. I also saved two of the pork sirloin steaks and have them marinating, tomorrow they will go in the oven with sweet potatoes and I will make some turnip greens to round out that meal. I will also be tossing some cole slaw together this morning and baking some corn bread for the chili. I don't cook every day anymore and haven't for quite awhile. It's so much easier just to cook two or more things a couple of days a week and have meals for the entire week. That way too if I have to go and help with the grandkids I always know there is plenty in the refrigerator to feed my Honey and me. My Honey brought me a bunch of large bell peppers from work that have a few bruises which I will remove and then chop up the good parts for cooking this winter. It's really nice to get free food from his work place. Have a great day everyone.
