I haven't had Thai food since I left Anaheim in 1983. There was a small Thai restaurant a block from my townhouse that I would eat at often, and I liked it.
Tried a home made 8" chicken pot pie, in a flimsy disposable tin. Not bad. Missing some potatoes. (I didn't try to make it pretty, because only the cat and I saw it, and she didn't get any.)
The stomach has no eyes it just enjoys good tasting food. But be careful the cat lovers police are watching for cat abuse.
I am sorry Holly, I have to laugh... adults here- um normally would not touch fish sticks aka fingers. That is a kiddie food. But hey whatever works
Tonight he cooks ..beef fajitas on the grill.. I will make some guacamole with salsa and such with chips.
Most adults didn't eat them after childhood here either until recently, when gastro pubs started making them again into big sandwich food ( fresh cod or haddock fillets, coated with breadcrumbs or batter, and served with salad and tartare sauce .. and adults fell in love with them all over again....
Tonight for dinner I had 2 English Lamb chops with a swede and carrot mash and beef gravy..... I got 4 pounds of English Lamb chops today for £10.00.. 12 chops in total, so I bagged them up in packs of 2 and froze the rest.. Super bargain!!
Things always get a little bit scrappy at my house in the days leading up to a major holiday. It's a throwback to the days when my mother and grandmother used to squeeze the grocery budget to free up money for the holidays. It also made us a little more excited/appreciative of all the good things that appeared on the Christmas table. So tonight will be a bowl of cereal with a splash of almond milk.
That's one thing I can't eat for dinner, I can barely tolerate cereal for breakfast. I can eat eggs though and if not feeling well maybe oatmeal or toast for dinner.
I have been making my own almond milk, and today I was reading about oat milk (made with rolled oats), and it looks pretty easy to make. I set a about a quarter cup out to soak, and tonight, I am going to blend them up and see how it turns out. Have you (or anyone) ever tried oat milk before ?
Looks like he was making an omelette with nothing in it...also looks like a good movie that I haven't seen.
