Good morning! Leaving in about 40 minutes to my daughter's house, as soon as it's almost light out. Not sure yet how long I'm staying but definitely a week, maybe more. Have a great day.....I'll still be on here occasionally.
View attachment 25113 Our Family get together was nice but a little quieter this year since one of our Family members was not there because he and one of my daughters are separated. Things change in life but change sometimes brings some sadness...and this is one of those changes. Christmas goes on even with changes and so do we. View attachment 25110
It's my last night in St.Petersburg tonight, tomorrow evening I fly back to the UK, for Christmas with the girls. This morning we went to a friend of Lisa's who lives in the suburbs, to take all of the plants from here to be looked after, while Lisa is away in the UK from this coming Saturday until her return next February, we went in a taxi and came back on a bus. Here are a couple of photos from the window this afternoon, and another I took in the suburbs on our way to the bus.
Good morning all.... It's a sunny crisp Christmas Eve Morning..almost lunchtime... and it's been a busy morning this morning. We had a new hot water boiler fitted a couple of weeks ago on the wall in the kitchen, but all the pipes were exposed so we had a guy come out and box them all in this morning, so it all looks much better, however we've lost a double electric socket , so hubs will have to take a feed from that and make a new one elsewhere in the kitchen sometime after the holidays. The best news of all is that hubs has promised me a whole new kitchen to be installed in the new year...so I've been told to ''get searching for the one I like '' ... I'm over the moon, I've been wanting a new kitchen for years... ''Happy Christmas Holly''... We'll be going to church services later... hubs is coming this year because they're serving beer along with Coffee at the Carol service... ..it's only a small glass, no-one will be getting rat faced... but it gets more guys there, and whatever works is gotta be a good thing I suppose... Have a good Christmas Eve , everyone, whatever you're doing...
We have just the opposite this morning @Holly Saunders, here in Nashville it's dense Fog. Temp in the upper 20's, things are a little slick. Looking forward to family and friends gathering later today.
We have a weather advisory for freezing fog here in Huntsville as well, although it is sunny and not really foggy from what I can see outside of our front room window. The last few days , we have pretty much stayed home and off of the roads; but my police alerts have been busy announcing road closures from accidents, and even at one mall from traffic congestion. I remember that I enjoyed going to the different stores at Christmas to shop for presents, and most of the stores were all decorated for Christmas, as well as the streets . Now, we do any shopping on Amazon, for the most part, and even the stores where we have gone, do not have Christmas decorations or festivity; so it really does not seem the same to me anymore.
Good morning! 62 for a high today but rain later. Busy day helping my daughter get ready for Christmas Eve dinner. I'm the sous chef. I know I'll be the one peeling Tons of shrimp. I know this from previous years. Have a great day and Christmas Eve everyone.
Merry Christmas Morning, to all! "On A Quiet Christmas Morn" There's not a soul out on the street, No footprints in the falling snow The only moving thing I see is the curl of chimney smoke Frost melts on the window panes and the house is getting warm From the fire's crackling flames on a quiet Christmas morn. Now I walked out in the silent world, No engines roared, no sirens whined No one raced off to work through the din of honking horns There was truly peace on earth on a quiet Christmas morn And on a quiet Christmas morn, a child was in a stable born Shepherds heard the baby cry, saw a new star in the sky On a quiet Christmas morn The hustle stops and the bustle stills, On this day all is calm Forgiving kindness and goodwill soothes like a healing balm The hardest heart is softened by the blessing that was born When the gift of grace was offered on a quiet Christmas morn And on a quiet Christmas morn, a child was in a stable born Shepherds heard the baby cry, saw a new star in the sky On a quiet Christmas morn Shepherds heard the baby cry, saw a new star in the sky On a quiet Christmas morn
