There is one on Campus at Cal Poly....it’s included as a choice in the meal plan.

When we were moving my grandson in last year we ate there and that was my first time.

I didn’t like it but maybe it was that everything was jammed packed and crazy on moving in day...so maybe not so fresh, etc.

It’s in an open court type place...like in a mall...there are other food places around it.

Well, Ken, that's really kind of ridiculous, but then again, when it comes to religion, no matter what religion it is, this kind of thing can, and does, happen. There are those that wonder "why on earth are they closed on Sunday's, when other restaurants are open?" Then again, Hobby Lobby is "Christian" based as well and they aren't open on Sunday's either.

Curves isn’t open on Sunday either....I don’t think it’s religion based but I really don’t know.

Don’t know if all Curves are closed on Sunday or just the one I go to.

"As you may have read, New York City considers Chick-fil-A to be enough of a threat that they are banning the restaurant from NYC. The threat? The owner is a Christian and to the NYC city council, Christianity doesn't represent their values. Pretty much anything else is fine, but Christianity is a danger to the citizens of New York City."

You're so full of it, Ken, dear. There are six (6) Chick-fil-A in NYC, 5 of which are in Manhattan. The City Council is entertaining NO SUCH IDEA. It is definitely NOT on their agenda. What you got to say to that? I do live here you know.

"That's about it, but that's enough to strike fear in the hearts of the New York City council"

Strange Ken, that a chicken takeout would strike fear, but 9-11 did NOT.

You're right. Mostly. It seems this is old news. A ban was proposed, but opposed by Mayor Bloomberg. The New Yorker rants about Chick-fil-A being allowed to open in New York City, and Mayor De Blasio calls for a boycott of Chick-fil-A. But you're right, after a poll showed that most New Yorkers were not in favor of a ban, there was no ban.

Really? They looked pretty scared to me, and with good reason. It would be crazy not to be afraid during 9-11. That is a reasonable fear.

OK, meant the aftermath, not the day itself, but the event, which is continuous and current. We are Ground Zero & Target # 1 and go about our business with confidence and awareness.

I have never been to Chik-fil-A , but we do have some here, it is just not a place where Bobby wants to eat.
A few years ago, we had one of those bad ice storms that totally devastate the South, and it came on during the day, so that even though the businesses all closed early and sent employees home, most people were still on the main freeway when the worst of the storm hit.
Not having any kind of snow tires , or even knowledge of driving in snow or ice, there was soon wrecks all over, and rescue trucks couldn’t get to anyone because they slid off the road, too, and the whole area around Birmingham was full of stranded people in vehicles that could not get past the accidents, or up icy hills.
By midnight , people were starting to leave their vehicles and try to walk off of the freeway, (some of them had been out there since around noon) and rescue workers were still trying to get to people.
In the middle of all this mess, Chik-fil-A stayed open all night, gave out food and coffee to rescue workers, and also let weary people who made it that far sleep in the booths.
The employees worked the extra hours, took care of everyone, and the restaurant handed out a lot of free food and coffee to people that night.
Where all of the other fast food places had closed early and sent people home, Chik-fil-A stayed open to help out, and so it was all over the news in this area.

I think I have been in a Chik-fil-A only once, but I have always been impressed with their corporate courage and standing up for their beliefs.

I've never eaten at a Chick-fil-A simply because there has never been one near us.

As for their policy of being closed on Sundays .. I say good for them.

In our little town there are many businesses that close on Sundays and I respect that far more than the greedy who insist on being open 24/7 365 !

It used to be that everything closed on Sundays and the diners and such that were open on Sundays opened late so people could go to church.

I wish we could get back to those times .. closed on Sundays and holidays.

It would not hurt a single soul to miss out on a Sunday or Holiday ... it's time we got back to real values like family and realize that those who have money burning a hole intheir pockets will come when you are open and spend that money.

I've never been to a Chick-fil-a. Is it something like KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken)?

Dang. Not exactly organic food, but some of those spices and coasting are certainly delicious!
