Holly, when I'm awaiting an important call that could happen now or hours from now but want to take a shower, I just set my phone on a little stand outside my shower and have a towel handy. It's annoying but if it's important then it's worth it…hopefully.
That's exactly what I did in the end Lara...and I showered as fast as I could LOL...and ultimately I was out of the shower , dried and hair up..when she called, so all was good. She really lifts my spirits my Doctor...I said to her, I'm so sorry to have you call when I know how busy you must be pre Christmas and your busiest time , and she said '' I am never too busy to talk to you''.. Soooo kind of her!! ........that in itself makes you feel so much better when you're in pain..just to know someone has time to listen.. doesn't it? It's a rare thing these days Doctor bedside manner, but my GP has it in Spades..anyway...we've got the problem sorted out pro-tem..until I get to see the Hospital Consultant. ...
Good afternoon everyone, I've been pretty busy the past few days...running around with my daughter. Tomorrow should be less hectic as she is working ....it will just be my two grandsons and all the y require is feeding. Ike, the 12 yr old wanted one of those for Christmas but my daughter nixed the idea....they live in a hilly subdivision and at the top...too dangerous. He is getting a new bike instead. Holly, feel for you and all you are going through...have a feeling I will be doing some of the same once I get my medicare in April....and I'm a big baby when it comes to any tests. Good luck with the MRI!
Good Morning everyone... 5.45 am....Dark Wet and Windy out there,...and I've got a fairly long hard day ahead of me today. Chrissy glad you're enjoying being with the family, but don't go overdoing it...you need to be a little careful. MRI went fine thanks for asking Chrissy...I've put it all down on a New thread Called 'How was Your day''...in Happy talk... http://www.seniorsonly.club/threads/how-was-your-day-come-and-share-with-us.2372/#post-30925 Have a lovely day everyone...
Good morning everybody it's warm and damp here at 10c, I am up and starting to pack for my flights home this evening via Germany, I will get back to Birmingham airport about 10pm where my daughter Cathy will pick me up, so should be home by midnight local time. Have a good day everyone.
Thanks Holly, hopefully all will go well I only have an hour connection in Frankfurt but Lufthansa are pretty good on timekeeping, and their German beer is excellent
Okay Tuesday, Let's Do This Enjoy your flight home, Terry. Keep us posted. Good to hear about your MRI, Holly. I'll check out your update. Sounds like you have a good doctor. Kindness in itself can cure.
Greetings on this cold, breezy, dark double day(Twosday). My temperature gauge reads 33 degrees, and my big Ben reads 5AM. Safe travels Terry. Well, I'm happy to report that I have successfully survived another day with Obama as your president. And with a Republican can't-do-squat congress too, yet. Enough bad news. The good news is, my college son will be home for Christmas. Seems he was never home much, spending 23 years in the army and now away at college. I plan on spending a quiet Christmas eve at home, after healing up from an arm injury. My left wrist is still sore, making walking with a walker slower and more difficult. Guess that's old age for you. If something don't hurt, something's wrong. My buildings Christmas dinner is tomorrow evening. I'm not going, being the anti social loner I am. One of my old gal pal's lives here now. 'Nuff said. So, have a great day y'all. If you can't have a great day, slap someone you don't like.
Ike, I'm sorry to hear about the pain you've been in. You would do well to go to the Christmas dinner tomorrow evening . Never stop doing anything. When you stop you'll lose quality of life. You don't have to say much. Be a listener. Just enjoy a healthy warm meal. Maybe try going with a new mindset. Go with a purpose to make someone's day there…even if it's "just a smile", reach out to someone. You dont have to be the life of the party but ask them things like "What did your family serve for Christmas dinner when you were little? What part of the country are they from? Do they have any children? How are they doing? Any pets? What are their names? If you're listening well then other questions will follow. Sorry, it's my motherly instinct to fix everything
Thanks Ike take care of yourself, I am at a deserted airport in St. Petersburg waiting for my flight, hope you are all having a good day
I think so though never sure of anything these days, .........there are a lot less flights though with all the sanctions and the falling rouble
