(((Babs))). You are already in my thoughts and prayers. As a survivor, I know the fear and disbelief. I understand. xoxo
Evidently they can tell what a cancerous tumor looks like in an ultrasound because I have two of them. The little lumps around my nipple area that I actually went in to check...are nothing to worry about at all, but under those lumps are two nice size cancerous masses. I can't feel them but they show up real clear on the ultrasound. There is also a lymph node by my arm pit they are really concerned about. My faith is sustaining me right now and I know it will continue to do so.
We are definitely praying for you, @Babs Hunt , and I am so sorry to hear that the cyst turned out to be cancerous after all. maybe when they actually do the biopsy , it will turn out not to be malignant ? Like Holly said, I didn’t know that they could actually tell about these things until they do a biopsy. But at least, you found it right away, and that part is a blessing. There is a lot of good information on natural helps for cancer online, if you are one of the people who is interested in doing that. Mostly, those are things that doctors do not tell you, but that have helped other people. Why doctors do not talk more about natural help, I do not know. We had a friend who had cancer, and even though cancer cells live on sugar in the blood, her doctor told her that it was just as good for her to eat ice cream as to drink milk or have yogurt. Sending you a big hug for comfort, too , Babs, and lots of love !
So sorry to hear this, Babs. I know you must be beside yourself today with worry and dread. I wish I had some words of comfort.
@Babs Hunt , we will all be praying for you my dear..and having such a strong faith yourself and a strong family unit will help you very much, but please, if at any time you feel like ranting at the world.. we're here, we won't take it personally.. ((hugs))
Even with my strong faith I am sure I will have a few moments I will feel like ranting...thanks for giving me permission to do just that if I need to Holly.
And the prayer of faith shall heal the sick. (James 5:15). I have seen it, experienced it and know it to be true. Keep your chin up and know that we who believe are praying for you and I am sure that even those who are hesitant to believe are hoping for the best for you Babs.
Babs, my sister had breast cancer about twenty years ago. She chose to have a double mastectomy rather than a lumpectomy. She is still alive and well. She had to take some kind of meds for five years but now she takes no meds at all! I mean, nothing! So breast cancer can be beat. You can do it. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}
The technology surrounding breast cancer has progressed a lot in 20 years. Survival rates are higher now. They can tell you that it "appears to be cancer", @Babs Hunt , but, like @Holly Saunders I think they need the biopsy to make it definite. The biopsy is also used to determine the tumor antigens and decide on the best chemotherapy. Those in the U.S. are used to seeing commercials for HR+/HER- chemo drugs.
